  15. it sounds like you may be a bit tight and you have to get used to it. I have a few suggestions- by the way I was banded 5 1/2 years ago and live in Ventura CA, on the coast...so while not local, I'm close anyway...Sometimes after you have an incident where you throw up you are irritated and you need to go back to soft (mushy) foods for 24 hours..Try that ..Then slowly intorduce solids back taking very small bits and chewing very well - let me know the results- you can send me a PM if you like. sandi2004
  16. Hi- I was banded 5 1/2 years ago and would be happy to answer your questions as they come up- you would be definitely helping me keep "honest" with my maintenance program because answering your questions reminds me what all of this has been about. sandi2004
  17. being hungry is not unusual- especially until you get your first fill- and sometimes even after until you hit the "sweet spot". Eating protein (protein drinks for you if you're still on mushy foods) helps keep some of the hunger at bay. Hang in there! Also, try to make sure you're not getting any sugar or high fructose corn syrup- that stuff makes you hungry too- probably about an hour after you eat something with it in it.
  18. I'll be happy to mentor you but the first thing is - it sounds like you need to go get another fill- you haven't been to the doctor for a year now and he only gave you one fill after your unfill...you're probably just not there-if you want more ideas, etc please PM me so we can do email- this forum is a bit cumbersome- email or iM is easier.. sandi2004
  19. don't give up! Send me a PM and I'll give you details of my story- I was 55 when I was banded and managed to take off over 200 lbs..I'm originally from Brookly (Sheepshead Bay) now living in Ventura CA. sandi2004
  20. send me a PM and we can talk about it- I'd love to offer some ideas- I have managed to lose oer 200 lbs so I've probably hit all of the walls and managed to climb over them. sandi2004
