Looking for Plastic Surgeon in DFW Area
Thank you. I just visited Dr. Kasden's website and he seems like just what I am looking for. I am going to make and appointment to meet him in early September to give myself a goal for losing the last 25 pounds.

Looking for Plastic Surgeon in DFW Area
I will have been banded a year in August. I still have about 25 pounds I want to lose, but I know I want to have a body life over Christmas Break. I'm a teacher so I only have two possible time periods to be off work. Does anyone have suggestions for plastic surgeons in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area? I actually live in Roanoke near the motor speedway.

Off Topic- Did anyone watch Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution show last night?
If you are interested, go to Jamie's Food Revolution USA | Campaign for healthy eating | Jamie Oliver to sign Jamie Oliver's food petition. There is also a blog written by an teacher who is eating school lunch every day for a year. It's very interesting. Fed Up With Lunch: The School Lunch Project

? popped port stitch?
I popped a stitch a little over a month ago at a water park. My Dr. checked the placement via ultrasound and it was fine. He said the muscle would be sore for several weeks since the stitch was torn from the muscle, but there wasn't anything to worry about because he used several stitches to secure it. I just babied it for several weeks and it got better. You should ask your Dr. to check it and make sure it is not flipped, because that does need to be corrected.

Fills in DFW area?
I see Dr. Kim in Colleyville. All of my fills have been with fluoro and haven't had any problems. Their number is 581-6100.

Do you have a goal prize?
Like several others have mentioned, I'm already saving for a tummy tuck and boob lift. I have already begun looking at doctors!

Easter Challenge Anyone?
I lost 3 pounds this week! The strange thing is I had only been losing only about 1/2 to 1 pound a week, working out 3 to 4 times a week eating 1200 calories/day. I had bronchitis all week and haven't worked out. I also went way over on calories because I drank LOTS of orange juice (a must when I'm sick). The math just doesn't add up, but I'm not complaining. I hope I can keep losing even when I get back to my normal routine.

Popped Stitch
I accidently did a backflip when I hit the water off a water slide at Great Wolf Lodge at my daughter's birthday party. I immediately had what felt like a stitch in my side a few inches below my port. The rest of the week it would still hurt if I was on my feet a lot. I went to the doctor and they did an ultrasound to make sure I hadn't flipped my port, which I didn't. The doctor said it sounded like I pulled one of the stitches out of the muscle. He said there are several stitches, so the port should be OK as long as I'm careful. He said the muscle needs time to heal. My question is: has anyone else pulled a stitch loose? If so, how long did it take before the muscle healed? It has been 10 days and it still hurts when I'm on my feet for a while, especially when I try to excercise. I have only lost one pound since this happened. Before this I had finally found my sweet spot and was consistantly losing 2 pounds a week. I hate that this has stalled my progress.

Favorite fast food items
My favorite is Panda Express Green Bean Chicken. It only had 160 calories for one serving.

Weighing Yourself?
I too am a scale whore, but I don't care. I weigh myself in the morning after I go to the bathroom- naked of course! I also weigh myself if I feel like snacking due to head hunger. It brings me back into focus. In my opinion it doesn't hurt me and keeps me focused.

I hate mirrors....
My Wii actually says "ouch", or something that sounds like it, when I step on it. I also hate that my Mii starts out thin and then fattens as the bar goes to the top of the BMI bar. That little dude is just cruel.

Easter Challenge Anyone?
I'll join you. My weight loss was extremely slow over November and DEcember, but I just got a tiny fill (.6) and think I have hit the sweet spot. I've lost 5 lbs in a week. I would like to be 185 by Easter.

Drinking water to clear blockage
The only time I tried it the water came back up like a gyser. It was horrible. I just wait it out or make mayself throw up if it's too bad. Thankfully I have only been stuck a handful of times.

Funny shaped tummy after banding?
I actually had the opposite problem. My incision area for my port was sunken in while the area around it looked swollen. I had this round belly and then a noticeable dent. It even showed through clothes. However, six inches off my waist and several months of healing and the dent is gone.

Christmas Weightloss Challenge
I only lost .5 a pound this week. The weight has been slow since Thanksgiving, but I'm planning a 21 day protein shake fast for church starting January 1st so hopefully that will jumpstart me again.
