  1. You are super and what an upbeat story. That will motivate all of us. Here comes my bike out of the bedroom where I keep it and out on the road.... Way to go!!!
  2. I just ordered and received profect and it really doesn't taste bad at least the one I tried. It taste like a fruit drink but a little thicker. I had it cold and drank 1/2 with one meal and the other 1/2 with dinner. at 24 grams protein per drink of a few ounces I think itis a good thing to get protein requirements in.
  3. Wow Dieanechef, what an improvement. You look great. I can't wait to get to where you are as I am 5 1/2 weeks out. Great inspiration!
  4. Hi katylady, I used Dr. Rumbaut in Mexico it was 10,600. and included 3 days hotel and pickup at airport and travel to dr. office and hospital. Great Dr. Good luck!
  5. I had my surgery in Mexico and traveled home with my husband in a wheelchair. I lifted luggage from the flights and set them in his chair. We had some help with drivers but back in the states I had to lift the wheelchair and load it and luggage into our vehicle. I was just real careful. I am doing fine. Don't give up. I was also back to work on Monday after surgery on previous Thursday. I don't know how much the baby weighs but with your husbands help it might be doable. Good luck!
  6. AWESOME! What a terrific start on you journey! Keep up the good work!
  7. Way to go! That is awesome.. I am bet that you are proud. I sure would be. It's Saturday night sounds like another opportunity to shine....
  8. Hi EileenJa, Have you had a fill to limit the amount that you eat at one time? I thought that was why we got banded so it would help us limit our amount.
  9. Hi Brandy, I take a spicy chunky soup like chicken and sausage heat it then put a spoon of cottage cheese in it then blend. It makes a nice thick cream soup that has good flavor. I am still on liquids but this works for me.
  10. Libra, Sometimes during the operation air will get trapped inside the body cavity and cause small discomfort pain in odd places until your body can absorb it. Most occurs in the shoulder area. Mine was lower under my left shoulder blade. Last several days off and on.
  11. Congratulations on your 1st year weight loss and your non-food reward!
  12. Lapbandit I am like karenJ tell us your secrets that is awesome weightloss... Ignore the dummy even if it does hurt at the time. You have a whole lot more going for you and more friends too I bet.....
  13. Hi to all the August Bandsters. Here I am on day 7 and all is well. I went back to work on Day 4 and although I was sore I was able to do all right. Did not tell but 2 at work that I had surgery everyone else thinks I took a mini vacation. Almost all discomfort is gone now unless I overdo it then it will sting a little at the port area. 1 week down with liquids and 2 more to go before mushies but it is ok so far. I did have cream soup for lunch on several days. But mostly stick to optium nutrition protein drink (yum) and yougurts. I also crave unsweet stuff. Even that tuna soup sounded good. Good luck to everyone yet to be banded and rock on to us that have been.
  14. Dr. Rumbaut is the greatest. I was banded on August 3, 2006 and the experience could not have been better. Dr. Rumbaut and his staff do everything to make you comfortable and they treat you like family. Checking on you at the hotel, calling you and follow-up emails. I would reccommend him to anyone considering the lap-band
  15. Hi Everyone, Will be banded in Mexico (Dr. Rumbault) on August 3rd, and started my pre-op liquids today. Drinking protein drinks Optimum Nutrition (Yum) and gatorade right now but think I will pick up some chicken broth tomorrow.
  16. WOW LapBandit your weightloss is awesome. My Dr. reccomends Optimun Nutrition which can be purchased online (cheaper) or at GNC for $23.99 a canister. It is delicious and is the first powder that I have found that mixes easily with a spoon... Yum! 25 grams protein and only 3 carbs
  17. Hi Anniemay, I too am going to Mexico. My surgery is scheduled on the 3rd of August. I am excited.. Going to Dr. Rumbault. Good luck!
  18. Hi, I will be banded on August 3, 2006 but I ordered this and I am taking it so that maybe I can offset some of the problems. By the way it taste great and makes into a drink. http://www.alvitum.com/index.htm#11
