  1. I lost 75 lbs rollerblading before surgery, then got pregnant and gained it all back. I think roller skating and rollerblading are the best ways to work out if you can find a good place with a smooth surface. If you go to calorieking.com there is a section you can put in your weight, age, how long you work out. It will then give you a LONG list of thing to burn calories and rollerblading is one of the top ways. 30 minutes of rollerblading at 250 lbs I would burn 526 calories. Amy
  2. I waited all weekend to be able to call all these doctors... I found Dr. Houston and he will see me even tho I had my surgery in California... I can't wait, I go Aug 12th. $205 for the new patient fee, then $125 for the hospital and $150 for the dr. Way more then I have paid before but it will be worth it even if I only lose 25 more lbs... I am just worried my fill will be to tight then I have to come up with the $275 again for an unfill. Wish me luck. Amy 289/250 1/3/03:thumbup:
  3. I live in Hendersonville, and I need to find a Dr. that will do a fill on someone they did not band. I have had my band for 6 years, and no fill for the last 4 of those. I called a few doctors on Friday and was told $500 for a fill, and NO they don't see people they didn't do surgery on. I was 289 day of surgery 1/3/03 and I am 250 today... I am so ready to get back on the wagon and get this weight off... PLEASE HELP!!! Amy
  4. Hi all, I am new here... I was banded 1/3/03 weighing 289, I weigh 250 right now. My lowest weight was 223, and I only stayed there for a few weeks. I have had a few fills and unfills. I have worked out off and on for years. I have not had a fill in over 4 years, and right now I am looking for a fill DR. in Nashville TN that will take someone they did not do surgery on. Also one that will not charge me $500. I just had a baby 11 weeks ago, I gained 30 lbs and lost all 30 within 2 weeks of giving birth. I can eat WAY WAY too much, and still fight the head hunger every day. I have been reading posts for a few days now and it's giving me renewed hope. I just need to get a good fill. I am worried about getting enough calories in if I get a fill since I am still nursing. Any thoughts or suggestions on doctors in Nashville would be great... Amy
  5. I was banded in California 1/3/03 weighing 289 lbs. I got down to 223 stayed there for a few weeks. I then bounced back and forth between 235 and 260 for years. I just had a baby 11 weeks ago. I gained 30 lbs and dropped that 30 within 2 weeks. Now I need to figure out how to get back down to the 220's again... I have always worked out, right now I work out at the YMCA 3 to 4 days a week. I do need a fill, and need to find a Dr. in Nashville that will fill someone they did not do surgery on. I am so sick of being so heavy still after all these years. Amy
