  1. Hang in there and remember the reason why we had the surgery!!
  2. I didn't know that it really matter. My surgeon put all of his patient's port on the left side.
  3. Stay strong.. You can get through this. I suggest maybe blending a protein shake in the blender with a half of bananna. or maybe a cup of unsweet applesauce. I know other's will probably say no, but when your mind is made up that you are hungry and you want to eat, that is what you are going to do, so, whatever it is make sure that is very soft, so that you will not upset your band. Good Luck, an just remember the reason why you was banded in the first place.
  4. Everyone pretty much answered your question. My doctor typically wait approximately 8 weeks after surgery. He filled me half full. It was a bad experience. He had to stick me like 8 times, and it was somewhat painful...
  5. I am scheduled to go for my first fill tomorrow. I am excited and scared at the same time.
  6. Each person may be different depending on their restrictions if any.. I was able to drink more than 2 oz., however my doctor told me to not drink over that amount. Congrads on your surgery..:seeya:
  7. I also had really bad pain in my shoulder area. I think it took abut 2 weeks for it to pass.
  8. You are doing so well according to your weight tracker... Share the secret, what are you doing. I was banded on 07/31/09, and weight is moving like I thought it would. I am a little upset but still working hard to obtain my goal.
  9. Good Luck and best wishes!! You are well on your way to a new journey...
  10. I have lost 35 lbs, and found that like, most of youl, some of my clothes fit more comfortable and some clothes that I could not fit, I can now wear.
  11. Good Luck and Best Wishes!! You are on your way to a new you. Take it one day at a time and follow all the instructions of your surgeon.
  12. I struggle with the snacking rule. Also, it only take me about 15 to twenty minutes to eat. Overall, I am pleased with myself..
  13. Congrads!! Good luck and best wishes...
  14. I agree that you should call the surgeon on Monday, and tell them exactly what is going on. Sorry to hear that you are feeling bad.
  15. Thanks... I am a little scared. Less than 24 hours left and I will be banded. Good luck and keep us posted.
  16. Go to the surgeons icon and then click on your state, See who the surgeon's are close to you and then call and see how to be referred. I dd not go through my PCP. I went to a information seminar and went from there.
  17. I am being banded the same day in North Carolina.. Good luck and best wishes!!
  18. Hey, I thought the purpose of this whole site was to support each other. She is down and dont need us kicking her down farther!!! Others are stronger than others. Hang in there and remain positive. I get banded 7/31, and I pray that I remain strong afterwards!! :tongue2:
  19. Do you know how much weight you lost?
  20. Hang in there, the date will come sooner than you think. :bored:
  21. :thumbup:Congrats!! I would start trying to cut back now. Not sure about your nutritionist, but I had to see my twice, b/c she told my surgeon, she did not think I was serious about changing my eating habits. So, try not gain anymore weight.
  22. Congrats!! I have my surgery on the same date..
  23. The new year started over July 1st, therefore, if you haven't met your deductible you must do so. If iI would have had the surgery prior to July 1st, I wouldn't have to had pay anything, b/c I had met my deductible.
  24. Thanks for all the advice, I will take them in consideration. My pre-op diet is for two weeks (beginning 7/17), and I have to see my surgeon on 7/24, for pre-op instruction and to pay my deductible. The nurtristionist said that it would really look good if I could lose weight between now and then
