Hi Restlessmonkey, I had my operation on the 9th June 09,I had a drink of diet coke today mind it was only a mouthfull and i was fine. not that i ever drink much of it but i was wondering it it would be a problem for my pouch. Gillian

Does anyone know the reason why you cant drink fizzy pop, i had a mouthfull of pop today and i was fine. Does it cause a problem with the band? Gillian:bored:

:blush:How do you know if you have a good restiction after your fill? I had a fill a couple of weeks ago and my thoat felt like it had something stuck in it all the time i went to the hospital for a e-ray to see if the band was okay, I told them about my throat and they said they think my band had kink in it. they emptied my band then filled it back up with 5 mill I still have something in the back of my throat and also a horrible tast in my mouth, do you think this will go away in few days. I was not told by my surgen that i had to have fluids yesterday and and i have been exersising today could this also have caursed the problem in my throat again?> any help would be good. Gillian

OMG It sounds terrible, is this caused by not chewing the food enough or is it the type of food. OMG. Gillian

HI All, I just wanted to tell you all I have been to see my surgen today for a x-ray, we found out that my band had a small kink in it, this is hopefully how i was having that horrible feeling in my throat. I have to give it until Monday and if the feeling hasnt gone by then i have to go back to my hospital for a de-fill.

I have had it for 2 weeks, I go back to the hospital on thursday to see my surgen hope he can do something. Gillian

I seem to have it all the time, the only time its not there is when i am eating or drinking something, its a horrible feeling. Gillian

I dont no if this is the same thing or not, I had my first fill last wed and i would say from the Thursday it feels that i have something in the back of my throught like a fish bone or something. I dont because i havent had any thing like that to eat but its that type of feeling,I am really please I am going to see my surgen on Thursday its a horrible feeling Gillian :crying:

Hi All, Well I had my First fill today it went fine No problems at all. I lay on the table and my doctor who i have to say if fab he found the port the first time. I had a glass of water to see if it would stay down then i left i would say i was in about 15mins and that is the doctor doing his thing and me chatting to himn about how i have been since my operation. I am not hungry at all. I am going to have a nice milky coffee for my tea as i dont think i could manage anything more. Hi All, I am going for my first fill on wed 15th July, I am not sure what to expect, will it hurt? will it make me eat less food than i am already eating? How often do you need to have the fills? :frown: Thanks Gillian

I had my Operation 9th June and went swimming on monday 29th I was fine in the swimming pool but later that night my stomick was really sore, I think it is to soon as when you are swimming you are putting a lot of pressure on your stomick. Hope that Helps. Gillian

Hi Susan, Why dont you aske your doctor to see if he will refer you for the band on the NHS, I have just had my band fitted on the NHS, It took about a 14months from start to finish but it is worth the wait. I had my band fitted on the 9th July 09 up to now its the best thing i have ever done, I have lost 20 pound already. see your GP it worth the try Gillian

Hi All, I had my Surgery on the 9th June 09, and feel good, I have lost 1 stone 6 pound due to get weighed again on Wed so hopefully a few more pounds to add to that. Still got a long way to go, I am due for my first fill on the 15th July, I was worried today as i felt i was eating a little to much, also on most of the other websites i had been on people were vomiting and not being able to keep food down. I am Not having a problems so i though i was doing something wrong. But after being on this site and talking to people i have found out that loads of people are not having a problem eating so hopefully everything will be okay. Looking forward to talking to you all.
