  1. Mine was very quick, they called me directly to tell me of the approval,,it was within a week I had the surgery.. Hope it goes well for you.
  2. I was banded on the 22nd of Oct. I had no problems with the surgery and post op was great. I was 297 the day i made my decision in June. 287 at orientation July 18, 280 the day I saw the surgeon, 271 the day of surgery. I have no ticker, I can't figure it out.today I am247 a total of 50 lbs pre and post op. I feel as though the weight should come off faster at times. I had my first fill on the 7th of Dec with 5cc in a Realize band. I go for a second fill the 22 of Jan. I feel no restriction and have only got sick on chicken breast. I try to keep the diet in tack and I do curves which I have lost about 60 inches all together. I never thought it would be so overwheming and wonderful at the same time. I have no one to talk to here about it most go for the bypass for the quick fix. I wanted it to be a life change. Ups and downs and challenges is what it is. In a year where will we all be...its only been weeks since all of our surgeries. Best wishes to all..
  3. Hi I have just finished all the hurdles. I will have the band in the next few weeks. The BCBS of each state is different. The three months is really one visit each month with your primary care doctor, talking about calorie count and diet and excersie and weight documented in medical records with the right numerical codes. since they don't take letters you have to have copies of the appts. I also learned that three months of weight watchers counts too. Call Customer Service and ask what they will accept. I sent everything from this year to them from all my drs and it was 125 pages. Good luck and Keep up the fight. The group at LAP-BAND® chat is a good place to ask questions to with answers right away:thumbup:
  4. It took me two years to get tri care to approve, since we are retired I don't know if that had anything. Documentaion was the key word and keeping them on the phone. Every time you go to the doctor complain about your neck and pain and have them document it all the time they required multiple visits to verify the problem. I do not regret having gone from 54" to a wonderful 42. The neck and upper back pain have ceased and other than the scarring which Bio oil works well it is worth it. It was hard. Read the Book," Less is More " it is the bible of breast reduction. I am hoping to get banded next month and the approval for this 48 hours and a personal call from tricare saying if anything else needs to be done call them/ I know they authorize a body lift after two years...keep that in mind reconstruction fall in that catagory don't ya think. Good luck...Retired Ammo Wife AF
