  1. Sunday is weigh day. I updated my ticker. Lost a pound and a half through Christmas!! Yipppeeee
  2. I feel I did good today. I pureed left over turkey and gravy, 1/4 C greenbean casserole, 1/4 C mashed potatoes and felt full. Im keeping up with my calories since I dont feel any restriction yet. Of course I have no fill and no fill was put in at surgery. I ate 900 calories today. My weigh in day is tomorrow, so Ill post an update then and see how it all comes out after the holidays!
  3. Very good insight. Thanks. A good point was raised thow that if your chewing really good whats the difference. Im on mushies, but I am an curious person too. Thanks
  4. Well with the holidays I found I CAN eat non pureed food. So why do we have to do the pureed stage? Any ideas would be appreciated!
  5. Wow, you guys make me feel better. I was banded Dec 14th and am 11 days out. I too have found that I can eat anything and could probably eat several cup fulls at one time! Ive had no fills. I feel like the weight loss Ive had has been ME and not the band. Im gonna try and get back on schedule tomorrow. I worry there is something wrong with the band. My doctor didnt make me do a presurgery diet so the weight Ive lost has been post surgery.
  6. well I cheated too. Im 11 days out and have found I can eat anything it seems with no problems. Not a good thing for me. I ate a tablespoon of dressing, potatoes too. Then found out I could eat chocolate turtles, so over the day I ate 3 of those. Now, Ive eaten a small handful of fritoes! I promise myself I will get back to pureed tomorrow. But WHY am I ABLE to EAT???!! and not feel full ??
  7. I feel the same as you and Juke. I am 10 days out and feel no real restriction. I just try and eat slow and only 1/3 to 1/2 cup. Ive found, like you, that drinking doesnt bother me. Ive ate chili I made with cheese and have had no problem. I try and keep an eye on the calories until I can get my first fill. I do feel full if I eat slow, but I still could eat about twice what Im eating at any one time!
  8. Great! Same day as me! Do you still hurt when you bend over?
  9. well I [cheat] a tiny bit too I guess cause I fry an egg using Pam and sprinkle a bit of cheddar on it and cut it in tiny pieces and eat it as a meal too. No problems. I was banded the 14th. I keep track of calories, Im eating about 600 - 700 a day and have lost 16 lbs since surgery day.
  10. I would call my doctor and ask the nurse. It seems like you may have stretched the pouch.
  11. Did your insurance cover rebanding?
  12. Be Careful to try and follow your doctors guidelines. Banding is only a tool. If youre not hungry dont eat.
  13. I dont get in all my protein. I am on full liquid and 7 days out. I did not have a preop diet. Ive lost 13 lbs. My diet says to eat every 4 hours and sip in between. When I do eat, it is not to be more than 1/2 cup total. I add nonflavored Unjury to my cream of mushroom with garlic soup (really good) and skim milk. It took me 3 days to finish the soup eating it at almost every meal. Adding all the calories up each day, its not very much. I also take the vitamins. I guess I get about 25-30 gr of protein if I finish 1 protein drink.
  14. Im only1 week out and have lost 13 pounds, mostly Water weight, but Im on cream Soup, yogurt and pudding but Im not feeling the full sensation. I eat the recommended amounts which are 1/3- 1/2 cup a meal with no drinks. Now Im craving eggs!
  15. I am really craving fried over medium eggs. Im not hungry and Im suppose to only be on cream soup, yogurt and pudding.
  16. All of you probably know this but a great place for recipies for gastric bypass is to google egg face. She is great!
  17. I feel pretty good, I still get tired easy. I started following the week 2 diet. Im using unjury and really like the unflavored and chocolate. I stay full now.
  18. Wow Christmas Eve, you are determined/ Good luck.
  19. I am 6 days out and could not really go back to teaching. I get tired really quick from the lack of calories. You need to go out shopping or something and see how your body feels before deciding about work.
  20. I am not looking forward to my first fill just cause I hate the thought of liquid diet again! does everyone do liquid for 2 days?
  21. adagray, I didnt have any real hunger until day 3 after surgery.
  22. :smile2: I had surgery Monday and was content until Friday morning. Then I started getting really hungry. My doctor only allows clear liquid, no yogurt, no protein until day 7. Well today I went ahead and started creamed soups, yogurt and SF pudding. I feel so much better. I have some energy now. I do get hungry thow every 2 hours and still have some gas pains but only a few now.
  23. WooooWhooo! I finally got my picture and weight ticker figured out! :smile2:
  24. Thanks so much. I knew it felt like gas pain. :smile2:
