I too am a stomach/side sleeper. I was sleeping on my right side the first night. At about 2ish weeks, I could sleep on my Left side (side of port). 4 weeks out I could sleep perfectly on my stomach. Good luck!!! It is a little hard in the beginning. At the end of the 1st week, I had little to no pain.
I have been sleeping on my right side after the 1st night. I am now 6 days out. I sleep thru the night with no problem. I can't lay on my left side, I think that is where the port is.
Good luck
3 days out: the only thing that bothers me is the port site. I am sticking to the diet, and have had no problems. I only take a few ibuprofen at night, so everything can rest. I hope everyone has sucess with the lapband.
I had my gallbladder out with my appendix. For me it was a easy surgery. I went on a family vacation to Disneyland 1 week to the date of my surgery. I rode the rides and walked all day. Get it out, You will feel better. good luck
Good luck making your decision. I am not sure some of these posts were helpful or called for. I have learned a lot from this board. This is the first, for lack of a better work, hostile post I have come across. Don't let this sour your experience. You just have to do what feels right to you. Good luck
I am really excited!!! I am getting the Lapband on Wednesday July 29. I was just wondering, what is the most important thing you brought with you to your surgery?
