  2. I suffer from anxiety attacks and my PCP gave me Zoloft to contol them and to try to fight my deppression... I must say that the first 2 months of taking it I was a new woman! I loved it! But then I was always in bed...sad...and even more depressed than when I started! I weaned myself off them little by little and OMG! The Side effects of the withdrawl are HORRIBLE! I felt like electric shocks all over my body! My mood swings were uncontrolable for about 2 weeks...glad to say its all over. I now control my anxiety with Ativan. Bottom line everyone reacts different to all meds..this was just my experience...becareful and I wish you the best!!!
  3. OMG!! Its like you looked in my brain and posted my thoughts...I am also 28 yrs old. I am 5'8 252 lbs size 18-20 mother of 1 I have been thinking about this surgery for about 1yr. I also started researching the band as well but it was tooooo many side-effects to worry about. One reason I am scared of getting this is the weight loss...the older we get the more nutrients our body needs, and what if this prevents it from happening.... CANCER and its treatments (lord forbid) Cancer treatments really mess you up...will We be able to recover with a sleeve??? I dont know what to think, somedays I say YEAH go for it I will do it...and others I am like scared out of my mind... I have a little girl and she is my main concern, I wan to live to see my grandchildrens children...lol you know? I guess we can help each other out....calm each other down and support each other when needed...
  4. Congrats!! Good For you! I cant wait for my surgery and get my TRUE life started.I am still in the begining process but cant rush this.....
  5. Ohhhh mannnnn Dont say that....... I actualy took Nursing courses at the University, and stuff like that made me change my carreer! I thought I could take it but, came the DAY, I fainted hahaha!!! I couldnt stand it!! Oh well I guess I will have to suck it up and pray my DR is one of the ones that does not put a drainage.
  6. Oh my that is soooo sad......:lol0:
  7. My words exactly! I'm afraid of that "curiosity killed the Cat" lol I have never tried it, I dont know if I would though.... DH has been ringing the doorbell, but i cant seem to let him in... Its a DIRTY place!! Why want to stick your "thingy" in a place full of germs???? I dont get it..........
  8. Hahahaha!!!!
  9. Congrats!!! I can t wait till I get sleeved!! 8lbs dont sound like much but OMG it is! CONGRATS!!!!!!! How awsome for you! (not too happy about having a drainage attached that was new to me...) OUCH! I bet that hurt!!
  10. Oh my poor Guy!!! That is just terrible!! But no I didnt mean for people to choose their Drs based on the fact that they have medical mal practice issues or not..... I just said my story and my experience and.... I Know not all Cities in Mexico are bad, that is why I also said, That I dont know Mexicali..... it wouldnt be fair to compare it to Nuevo Laredo, or Monterrey if I have never seen it or been there. It was just a an my Opinion and my experience. But I am sure You living in or near Tucson, (My husband was born and raised in Tucson area) Nogales is actualy in the same crime rate or even worse than Nuevo Laredo. Isnt it sad though???? How it just got so bad?? Being able to cross the Border "whenever" we wanted was AWSOME. Anyways I am sorry once again for my post, and I repeat I didnt mean anything wrong or I didnt mean to compare all mexican cities to just 2 bad ones. I am just paranoid now.....

  12. I'm 27! You are not alone..... I am starting the process to get sleeved...
  13. I am 27 years old, Born the day after Christmas... I have 2 older sisters and 1 younger Brother. I have very Old fashioned parents, My Father is a typical Mexican MACHO. His word was our Command. My Mother was has always been at his beck and call. She has no life and lives in Constant fear of him... He is not physically abusive but he is verbally abusive. What he says goes always has and always will.... He has always been a very demanding person. Would always tell us off for the smallest thing. He has been an EXCELLENT FATHER and Role Model. He is very strong and he never gives up.... Due to my father's character, My Mother was addicted to Xanax for many, many years... Due to my Parents Constantly fighting , my Mother would take out her frustration out on us. At the age of 7 my father had his first heart attack he was 40 At the age of 10 my father had open heart surgery 5 by passes At the age of 16 My father had an eye surgery gone wrong which left him blind in one eye and reduced vision in the other. In 1998 (I was about 16 as well) My Mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. So, My father being the type of man he is, made my Mothers battle that much harder. Both my sisters were already married so that left me to take care of the House, take care of my brother, and manage High School at the same time. Also at 16 I met who is now my husband. Things at home were very tough, and I needed a way out. My Boyfriend 9who is now my husband) moved 300 miles away and we maintained a long distance relationship for a couple of years, Came year 2000 it was my senior year, My father's attitude only got worse, I broke up with My now husband and started going out with the Ever so popular Football player. He gave me that shoulder to cry on, while things at home were terrible. After 5 months of dating Prom night came and he told me he too was moving due to a College Scholarship to play football. Till this day I dont know why, But we Eloped.... we went to the court house and got married at the age of 18. 35 days after he left I had to get it annulled. He left and that was that. I was my own Lawyer at 18 I got all the papers together and Annulled my marriage. 2 years later my now husband shows up tells me he loves me, and we got engaged Jan 5 2002, and got married Nov. 7, 2002. I got Pregnant Feb. 2003 and had my daughter Nov. 28 2003. Moved to Houston in 2004. Lived there till 2007 and Moved back to My home town that same year cause of my Husbands Job. I thank God everyday for my Family, my parents, and siblings, But I think it has made me to be a very tough person. Long story but this is me......Thanks to that I Became a resposible, well mannered, dont take any BS type of perosn. I am a girly girl, but dont push my buttons cause you will see a part of me NOBODY likes.... I Now have a Great life. I Became a Christian (catholic up bringing). My DH got the job of his dreams (Homeland Security)and I became a Stay at home Mom. My life was full of drama, and stress. I am now suffering the consequences of all that. I am overweight and suffer panic attacks. All thanx to my childhood........... Oh well thats life....
