  1. I was banded in May and at first I didnt want to tell anyone...I actually didnt even tell my Mother until the day of surgery...lol...but after I realized that what I was doing was something to help MY life and sure I know that there are people who smile to my face and talk behind my back...but to be honest it doesnt bother me...I made a choice...I am happy with it and so is my husband...it will never matter what other people think of you...Remember this is a choice you made to make YOUR life better =)
  2. I have been over weight most of my life...and I suppose I just felt it was normal for me...when I reached my max at 407 I just began feeling BLAH...I knew I couldnt play with my daughter...I knew going up stairs would wear me out for the day...but it wasnt until I went to the eye doctor and she explained to me that from being so over weight it was now effecting my vision...I was super scared about all of the complications but to be honest to imagine my life with out my daughter...was enough for me...it is a big decision and you should go into it with open eyes and positive...I can tell you for me it was by far the best decision...there are days when I swallow something and it hurts or when Im stressed out and I suffer for it but nothing beats the feeling of not worrying about the complications of carrying all the weight around anymore...LOL...keep reading...ask questions if you have them...its the only way to really know for YOU...Good luck in whatever it is you decide =)
  3. Oi have I been there!!!...Since your son is three I suggest the work out balls...My daughter is 8 but when i got her her own work out ball and put the video in she Loved it...and for him it will just feel like fun time on a ball with you...he wont notice the difference and your going to be able to get some exercise in...I do agree that maybe there are other issues but when your given the opportunity to address those you will...Your husband married you for YOU...he will love and support you regardless of this minor set back...When I met my husband I was probably around 270...after alittle over a year and getting all the way up t0 407 his love never changed...just his concern...Stress affects your band as well...Its a new year...just reset your frame of mind...Make this year yours!...Learn from the mistakes of last...I wish you all the luck in the world!!!
  4. I weigh myself daily...it makes me more aware of what Im putting in...it drives my husband nuts...lol
  5. I was banded on the 27th and was told for the next two days do clear liquids but after that to stick with full liquids...SF puddings...soups...I go for my one week on Weds...sure there are times when I get hungry but I remind myself how much I paid for this new beginning and I quickly remember to stick to the Dr.'s orders...lol
