  1. I have heard alot of negatives about curves as well. Heard it ok for someone just starting out but that within a few months it would be no good because you can only do so much there and your bosy gets to use to it. I was banded june 2009 and didnt start going to a gym until December 2010. I was lucky and do not have all the flabby skin but probably had something to do with being young and losing slowly not really sure. Good Luck finding a gym its hard to find good ones with good hours and people.
  2. Steak has always been hard for me to eat but at times chicken is also hard for me to eat.
  3. You should really call your doctor. I know personally after the first 2 days I was ready to go back to work but it was a long weekend so had 3 more days off. Maybe they did put fluid in your band and from all the swellin you are too tight. CALL YOU DOCTOR
  4. You should defintely talk to your doctor, they have experience with patients who get pregnant with the band. I know with my cousin she got pregnant 9 months after being banded and they made her empty her band so she could eat more and get enough nutrition for the baby. CONGRATS and good luck!
  5. I am glad I came across your post. I have been having problems with my port lately and the doctor not being able to find it easily. I didnt know you could have it place in that area, have an appt this week going to ask my doctor about moving my port.
  6. To anyone eles who is considering a TT and worried about their port sticking out and showing more, you can have them replace your port with a FLAT one that will not show.
  7. Hi Kim, Thankfully I do have support at home and this is something I have done for myself not everyone else. My parents were not supportive when I first mentioned it, however after seeing the results my 2 cousins got from this surgery they were more open to it. If you cant get any support at home then you can always come here to lapbandtalk, there are so many supportive people in here that can help. Good luck and maybe you will get more support as you get closer to your goal and they all see how much happier you are.
  8. Wow Dave never thought of it like that but I totally agree. Best of luck to everyone on this journey.
  9. HILARIOUS! love it and going to do the same take a copy to my doctors office and hang it up.
  10. I would definitley get rid of those Jeans. They are not worth worrying about. Maybe your weight shifted like others said and you just need a different fit now. Now a days they make so many different styles (low rise, hipsters, high rise) just toss those pants and be proud of where you are today.
  11. I have lost ALOT of weight and the only problem area I have is my tummy which I would like to have a tummy tuck and my insurance will pay for it if it is medically necessary. So as I have noticed others are doing I do the same when I go to the doctors I complain about any issue I am having and make sure they note it. I have had rashes and yeast infections and then bacterial infection from the yeast infection opening up and getting worse. So if you have insurance make sure you complain to your doctor as well if you have any problems (rashes). Good Luck its a hard journey but well worth it.
  12. Forgot to add that I only have a 10cc band.
  13. I got to 6.5 cc before I had GOOD restriction but as I lost weight the most I had was 7.8 cc and was too tight. Right now at 7.2 cc and going to get a fill because this isnt enough. Everyone is different. Good luck!
