  1. HI Has anyone experienced any problems with their vision or feel like their eyes were strained since surgery? I always feel like I have to blink to refocus. Not sure if I am experiencing a possible deficiency or something else. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks
  2. me too summeragain & mf2122. How do you guys like the office and your progress?

Sounds great!! Are you having any issues with crunches? I am 10 weeks post-op but still feel a bit sensitive to that area. Any suggestions? Thanks
  4. Hi Suse I am from Long Island and was banded last week at Winthrop. Way to go. Good Luck
  5. Me too! I did read in one of these blogs that you can have a metabolic slow down. It sounds good but I can tell you that the scale better start moving. LOL
  6. Hi I used Dr. Brathwaite. He has an office in Patchogue & Mineola. I had the surgery at Winthrop Hospital. I see you are doing terrific. Any advice for a newbie? I am only 12 days post op and lost 11 pounds in the first week and nothing so far this week. Has that happened to you? Thanks. Good Luck to your friend.
  7. HI I am from LI. I was banded last week by Dr. Brathwaite at Winthrop Hospital. I really like him and his staff. Good Luck
  8. Hi All Had my surgery last week at Winthrop Hospital and used Dr. Brathwaite. What a terrific surgeon and staff! Honestly a few hours before surgery and right up to them wheeling me in, I was having panic attacks out of no where. I was ready to walk out of the hospital but am soooo glad I didn't. Everyone reassured me that I was making the right decision and I know I did. In the first week I lost 11 pounds. My only concern is that I am 12 days out from surgery and no weight loss since the first week. Anyone know why? I am barely eating 600 calories and am moving & drinking. I am on soft liquids for a few more days. Any suggestions or explanations would be helpful. Thanks
