  1. This is really good advice. In addition to this, get in some cardio exercise each day because it will help curve the feelings of depression. This economy is the pitts. I sure hope things improve soon. Hang in there!
  2. Why is this untrue? You don't know this. Why are you so narrow minded? You call us liberals like its a bad thing. Why? because our minds are open to new ideas and possibilities? Because we are capable of seeing things from more then one perspective? Because we are open to change? Because we are accepting of others and believe it is okay to be different? Because we don't look down our noses at people who don't fit the norm as designed by your views of Christianity? Give me a break!
  3. Patty, If you took the time to talk with some gay people I'm sure you would hear that most of those people have always felt they didn't fit in their skin. My niece is gay and I can tell you from my own personal observation that this girl was indeed born gay. Why would God judge her sexuality as a sin when her created her this way???
  4. You are doing great! Keep it up!
  5. The pain you describe does not sound normal to me. You need to call your doctor.
  6. LMAO at KartMan Patty, Did you ever consider that maybe Bush was lying about God telling him to attack Iraq?
  7. No wait, narrow minded people.......sheesh!
  8. The surgery is fast, only about 30 minutes. The recovery was a piece of cake. I am so glad I had this surgery. I would not have lost this weight if I had not had surgery. Don't worry, everything will go fine and in 4 months you will be saying how glad you are that you had it done.
  9. I am experiencing the same thing. It started right at 4 mos. post-op. Protein is not the issue for me as I get the right amount daily. I don't buy into the stress of surgery school of thought either since I've had other surgeries and never lost my hair. I believe it has to do with a decrease in fat consumption so I began taking flax seed oil last week. I started on Biotin a few weeks ago. I here it's only temporary so hang in there. Donna
  10. I was never told I couldn't drive for a specific amount of time following surgery. I wouldn't drive the same day as surgery of coarse, but the next day I'm sure is fine. I was up and walking around within an hour of surgery and kept walking until the gas was gone. Back to work a couple of days later.
  11. I believe there is a great number of lap and success stories from people who have been overweight most of their lives. You will find many right here at LBT
  12. Are are benefits to having fills done under fluoro. They can check for slips or tell if your pouch is stretched or dilated. I though it was better to have fills done under fluoro so that the port tubing isn't punctured during the fill.
  13. This is a sad story Lisa, one that I can totally relate to. You deserve a better friend. Donna
  14. Jennifer, You know yourself and your body and you know what you are suppose to do. If you feel you need an unfill at this point in your life then you should do it. You don't need anybody's permission to do what you feel is needed for yourself. Good luck to you girl! Hope everything works out.
  15. Wow! That hurts! LMAO RM, Aren't you a little old for this kind of flirtation? This is so junior high.
  16. Monkey, Why does it bother you so that I responded? I didn't know this thread was reserved for you only???
  17. Yeah, sure your name is Carlene!!! It's pretty obvious who this is. Although it has always been evident you had/have no life, this is even a new low for you David.
  18. Why didn't your primary doc request some kind of tests to determine what may be going on? I would not take a "I don't know for an answer" If you think it is related to the band you should call your surgeon's office and make an appointment.
  19. I am 5' 6" 267 pounds and wear size 18/20 tops and pants.
  20. Perhaps you should focus more on your healthier lifestyle that you are living. You have already achieved this and this is a really big thing. I'm willing to bet that even with the wrinkles in your new thin face that you look better then you did with a fat face. I think we all tend to be a little hard on ourselves. If it bothers you this much perhaps you should consider finding a way to fund a face lift. You have worked so hard to improve your lifestyle, you deserve to feel good about yourself. Just a thought! Congratulations on the weight loss.:frown:
  21. I was on a high Protein liver shrinking diet 2 weeks prior to surgery and told by my surgeon to go out the night before and enjoy a last supper. I was permitted anything I wanted including a couple of margaritas. I was concerned about doing this since I was told I had to do the liver shrinking diet and my surgeon assured me that it wouldn't hurt. Every surgeon does seem to have different guidelines so you really should check with your surgeon before eating anything that isn't on the diet. Best of luck to you, Donna
  22. Oh yeah, I've noticed. It takes quite the balancing act to drink and smoke and still manage to lose the weight. I don't care about not eating but I gotta have my alcohol. As far as a suggestion, let me know when you find a good one please.
  23. I believe the country is in the financial mess it is in because Bush for so long refused to believe this country is in a recession. I still remember his denial of the economic condition of this country back during the last year or two of his presidency. He was the most "out of touch" president this country has ever seen. He was vacationing much of the time that all of us American's were struggling to make ends meet. I feel sorry for Obama. He stepped into a huge mess that was created by the prior administration and is now under scrutiny by conservatives who would like nothing more then to see him fail and seem to not remember that it was Bush who got us all in this mess in the first place.
