  1. Thanks....I will check that site out. I need some ideas on variety as I know that has been part of my problem.
  2. I had surgery 5/1/09 and was down 50 lbs after 5 mos. I have since completely fallen off the wagon and put 20 lbs back on. I fell back into my old habits of too many sweets as they have gone down much easier than I thought they would. I AM going back to the gym starting tomorrow and also getting back on good eating habits but I am hesitant to go in for another fill due to my 20 lb gain and my embarassment. I've only had 2 fills as I had good restriction after those sessions. I don't think my gain has anything to do with not getting any fills in the last 5 months but rather by lack of exercise and bad food choices. I want to lose these 20 lbs before I see the doctor again. Any comments would be appreciated.
  3. I was banded May 4 and have lost 25 lbs since my pre-op diet started on May 1. My first fill will be June 15.
  4. Congratulations!
  5. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I spoke to the doctor and she said I am just very swollen and to stay mostly on liquids for the first week. I will do this. I was able to get down 11 oz of soup a few min ago. My shoulder/neck pain comes and goes. the doctor says by day 6/7 that should go away as well.
  6. I was banded on May 4. Is it suppose to be difficult/painful to get anything down? Even water? I can't eat anything more than a couple of bites of yogurt or a couple small sips of my shake. Is this normal? When will I be able to get liquides/soft food down with no pain?
  7. I was banded yesterday and I am having a "stinger" up through my left shoulder and into my neck on the left side. I am walking a lot but does not seem to help. So far this pain exceeds my pain when trying to eat.
  8. Hi....I got banded yesterday and now that I'm home I have some questions. 1. Can I crush my Vicodin in some Water and drink it vs. taking the pill whole? 2. I don't have much of an appetite and when i do eat I can barely get a couple spoons of cream of wheat down this morning? How am I going to get 60g of Protein in at this rate? 3. I have some Atkins shakes but I can't imagine getting the whole bottle (11 oz) down. 4. How long will I have this feeling of indigestion right in the middle of my tummy? 5. How do I create the weight loss tracker? Thanks.....Jeff
  9. I started my 3 day clear liquid diet for my Surgery on Monday May 4. My booklet says nothing about gatoraide. Do you think I can have some G2 gatoraide?
  10. I also get banded on May 4 but I start my 3 days of clear liquid diet tomorow. What's with the protein shakes? I was not offered that option.
  11. I am scheduled for my lap band on May 4th. I just found out I am suppose to attend a 4 days business conference in Vegas the week after my surgery. My boss is aware of my situation. Is it realistic I can attend with no major issues? I'll have to do some work to find the proper nutrition I am sure. I can probably get out of it if it seems too risky.
