Hey congrats on your weight loss, and thanks for the info. I spoke to Liz this week. They want me to come in to get weighed. They want me to be at 323 Im at 338.

Hey hope everyone is doing good. Well my BP is normal again. Finally completed all the pre-op stuff and evrything is good. Now they tell me I gotta get my weight down to 324. Im now at 348. Doing atkins for the rest of the month. I'm glad to see you guys got a date for surgery. Hope to be right behind.

For all that used Dr. Geiss, How long after the pre-op exams did you all wait to get a surgery date?????

Thanks for the responses, I have always been a healthy big guy. My weight went up since I broke my leg back in March. I have been home on my butt since then. The last two weeks I've been on my stationary bike and using my BowFlex. Also no sweets. He gave me some BP meds, and I have been taking them. I go to him tomorow.

Thanks for the comments, I go see him tomorow for another check up. I've been on the bike and been satying away from the sweets. I've always been one of the healthy big guys. My pressure went up after I gained weight cause I broke my leg back in March and have been home not moving around much.

Hello to everyone, I'm a C.O. in NYC working on Rikers. Not yet banded cuse by doc says my BP is too high (140/90). Did all my other pre op stuff. Only need the cardio clearance, but he won't give cuase of the BP...Should I get another primary doctor? I think the one I have is against weight loss surgery...

Hi, I have a question to anyone already banded. My primary doctor who is also my cardio doctor tells me that he won't clear me until my BP goes down. BP is 140/90. Does your BP really have to normal for Lap-Band, or is this one of those doctors who thinks negativly about weight loss surgeries??? Should I go to another doctor??? PS I did everything pre-op all I need is the cardio clearance..
