Anyone Experiencing Pain After Eating After Lap Band Surgery ?
After I'm done eating some foods I get a pain in my stomach. The only way I can explain it is it feels like my stomach is raw on the inside and the food is just bouncing around hitting the sore sides. Not all foods do it and I haven't been keeping note on which specific foods cause this but I just ate a quarter slice of an apple and felt it. It is not the stuck feeling a different feeling. Curious if anyone has felt this.

Is it normal to stop losing weight?
I'm still having the same problem. I'm a little over 4 weeks post op and I go between 10-12lbs lost. I have stayed the same for about 2 almost 3 weeks. But I am at peace with it. I can eat just as normal as before so I am just concentrating on continuing to eat healthier. I get my first fill on Aug 11th and I am hoping to see my weight loss start again.

Just got approved, NEED answers..
Hi! I had my surgery done on June 30th so tomorrow is my 2 weeks. I've been on the liquid diet for 2 weeks and tomorrow I get to start pureed foods! I'm down 12lbs and happy with that. I lost the first 6 days then my weight loss stopped for 6 days but this morning I was down 1.5lbs. So just keep at it and don't get discouraged like I almost did! I was back to work after a week and 3 days and it was a little rough but that is because I am on my feet for 7 hours and do a lot of bending over and lifting. I know if I were just going to class I would have been fine after 1 week. The gas pains were a little uncomfortable but I didn't try the gas-x. I have read it really helps so if I were to do it over again I would for sure have those ready. I've also heard Jello Water helps but I was so swollen my belly couldn't hold enough for it to help. It does pass though after a few days. My husband has been extremely supportive threw the whole process. I know it's hard but I tried my hardest to not take my frustration out on him because this was my choice to get the surgery not his. He cooked for our children and himself to help me out then I was ready to go back into cooking. What helped me was to drink my meal supplement before I started cooking or before they ate so that my belly was full and I wasn't temped or frustrated. I'm not sure on the restriction since I'm so soon out. I would for sure do it again, nothing I went threw after surgery is worse than staying this heavy any longer! Good luck!!!

Is it normal to stop losing weight?
I do understand what you're saying but I'm drinking as much as I can. Believe me I'm not feeling hungry at all. I noticed yesterday and today though the swelling must be going down because I'm able to get more down, so that's a good thing.

ugh!!
I'm still on the liquid diet as well. I'm a wife and Mommy to two so I didn't get to stay away from cooking long, even though my husband did try! LOL What really helps me is to drink my meal supplement before I start cooking. I usually leave about 1/4 to 1/2 of it so I can sip on it while I sit for dinner time and my tummy won't be growling. Usually by then I'm feeling full so smelling the food isn't as hard. Hope that helps.

Is it normal to stop losing weight?
Hi Everyone, I've seen quiet a few people on here who have lost like more than 50lbs 1-2 months post op. Is that normal or very successful? I was so happy my first week because I lost between 1-2lbs a day. In 7 days I was down 12lbs. Then I stopped and have not lost another pound for 5 days actually gained 2lbs back. And I'm still on a liquid diet. A sample of a day would be a sugar free Breakfast carnation for breakfast, a slim fast for lunch and chick broth or 1 serving of Soup between 70-100 calories. I will snack on a Jello or V8 Splash. I know I am not over eating. I walk close to a mile a day for exercise. I would just like to hear that it's normal so I will stop worrying that I'm doing something wrong. Or find out how to get losing again.
