  1. Banded 3 days ago and it feels really tight and I was hungry today, is this normal?
  2. I was banded on Monday 4/4/11, and today (3rd day) I haven't had any solids at all but I feel like something is stuck, I tried and nothing will come up. It almost feels tight?? And it feels like it's at the start of my stomach. Could it be swelling from the surgery?? I have been walking and using gas-x strips for the gas but I'm at a loss.
  3. Got my approval yesterday; started pre op today and surgery on the 18th. Very excited! Has anyone else's Dr. told them to do the Slim Fast diet? 2 shakes a day and 1 light meal?
  4. Is he starting to take insurance? I know Dr. Cernero does, and he found someone that knows how to handle it (insurance) now
  5. Has anyone used them? What do yall think?
  6. I know that for a lot of insurance companies they have to have a 6 month diet plan, you don't have to lose weight, but they just want to see if you can do it on your own. I know it's a requirement for CIGNA (I'm a claim adjuster). They really just need to put you on a restricted diet and exercise to make the insurance company happy.
  7. If your surgeon is contracted with BCBS I would not pay a penny up front, let it get processed and then pay your part. I work for Cigna Healthcare, so I know. Also I would pick a doctor that has experience in doing Lapband. I would contact BCBS and ask them for a list of landband doctors, most of the time they have a list of preferred doctors that have a good relasonship with your insurance so it may even be cheaper! Good Luck Josh
