  2. My surgery was June 2009 and I have lost 140lbs so far. My surgeon still wants me to lose 50 to 70lbs more. I am only losing about 1 to 2lbs a month and can't seem to get back on track. We can do this!! Don't give up!!
  3. I keep losing and gain the same 2lbs for 2 months. I finally broke through my plateau by mixing up my calories and exercise program. I added 2 Protein drinks daily and I lost 5.5lbs in one week! Good luck!

  13. Hi, June Journeys I am glad everyone is doing well. My life has changed so much since my surgery in June. Working out is now included in my daily routine. I love my new life as a LAP-BAND® person. I'm down 82lbs. I feel so much better and I am off all my meds. My goal is 100lbs lost by my 45th birthday in May.

I love Zumba! It's the only exercise I do right now. I started classes at 320lbs. Yes, its hard at first but, the class goes by so fast and then your done for the day. Don't get discouraged just because you don't know the dance moves. It will take awhile to get them. Everyone started off just like you, have fun and enjoy it. I take classes five days a week and I hate to miss. I can't wait to the next class. I have made a lot of new friends at the age of 44. We have gone out dancing at a club and to lunch. I wish you the best of luck. I say go for it. :w00t:
  15. I'm in for the Valentine Day Challenge:thumbup:
  16. Hi June Bandsters, I just was wondering how everyone was doing with their band? How is your weight loss going?
  17. Becky, My doctor wanted me not to get the lap band because, he said," I weigh too much and will never loose more than 100lbs with it". I told him it was the lap band or nothing!! He finally agreed and I was banded on June 1, 2009. My starting weight was 364lbs and today 340lbs. I am not going to give up!! I am so glad to see stories like yours and everyone else. I am so proud of you! Keep up the fantastic work!!

  20. I got mine at my pre-op check up just before surgery. The nurse gave me a surgical information kit that is yellow. In it contained two books. One was A New Beginning and the other one Living Healthily Ever After. The card was in the back of one of the books. It was a post card to mail in to Allergan or sign up online. I hope this helps.
