  1. Thanks for the advice! I've had it happen before when I was on WW and lost a lot of weight. I'm doing pretty well with my protein, but maybe I should start checking my fat intake.
  2. Has anyone else started experiencing unpleasant side effects of weight loss? My hair has started falling out and I've got horrible bad breath now! I've read that both can be side effects of rapid weight loss, but I'm not sure how to deal with them! Any suggestions? I'm taking Biotin and Vitamin D to hopefully help my hair (but I was taking that before it starting falling out), and I'm using Listerine strips between teeth brushings. Any other ideas are greatly appreciated! TIA!
  3. Congrats, everyone! And good luck with those second fills! I'm in the same boat as some of you -- hungry all the time and desperately awaiting my second fill to get the scale jumping again. It's frustrating to lose restriction!
  4. Wow, Carrie, the weight is just falling off! Congrats!
  5. Everyone is doing so well! Congrats! Wow, Julie, you really lost 7.5 lbs. in one week? That's amazing! John, I feel your pain. I've lost restriction also, but my next fill isn't until July 24. I'm hungry!!!
  6. I heard someone say they named their band. I never thought of that! Have you named your band? If so, are you willing to share its name and why you named it that? I think it's sort of a cute idea!
  7. Well, I can tell you that I experienced something over the weekend that I never thought would ever happen in my lifetime. I took a bite of corn on the cob (sweet corn) and it was TOO SWEET! ME??? Say something was too sweet???? Never. Well, since giving up refined sugar when I got banded, I guess my tastebuds have changed! OMG! So, what did I do? I salted it down and ate it. LOL It was quite nice then. I am glad that my tastes are changing, though!
  8. I have 6 ccs and can eat over a cup, and I plan on making an appointment for a fill sooner than my next scheduled appointment. I would think that given your past history, you should call your doc asap just to be safe! Good luck! :tongue_smilie:
  9. Yes, Juniper, tell him to count his blessings, then hand him a pair of earplugs. LOL :tongue_smilie: Sarahbellz, sorry to hear about your awful boss. Good luck with your interviews!
  10. Hey, Juniper, great to see you! Congrats on your banding! I hope you are doing well and feeling good. Soon you'll be joining us with your own victories! :tongue_smilie:
  11. I cleared my drawers of six or seven pairs of jeans that were too big and went shopping for new ones over the weekend! I'm down two sizes -- hooray! :tongue_smilie:
  12. Congratulations, everyone, on such great success! :tongue_smilie: LindaD, look at you! Exactly at the halfway point. Woohoo!!
  13. Well, this was a disappointing week for me. I seem to have lost all restriction! I went from lamenting about wanting to eat more to suddenly able to eat up to TWO cups of food without feeling full. And the scale showed it. I was up and down a pound all week, but the net gain/loss was zero. I stayed the same. But, I definitely think it's time for a fill. I will probably call my surgeon next week b/c my fill's not scheduled until July 24. Bmaz, sorry I can't fly from the east coast to the west coast right now, but perhaps I can help you. At the top of this page, under your name, in the dark blue bar, you will see the words "Quick Links." Click on that once, and a drop-down menu will appear. About 2/3rds of the way down is "Edit Signature." Click on that, and it will take you immediately to the place you need to go to paste in your ticker code. I hope that helps! :smile2:
  14. Interesting, singing, I've never heard of bandsters having trouble with hiccups! Yes, old habits die hard!
  15. Oh, I hear ya, John. Been there myself. My surgeon's assistant told me to try not to bring it up but to rather sit there until the feeling went away. Was eating meatloaf last night and it got stuck. Tried her suggestion and oh, man, it took forever to go down! And I was hungry!! When will I ever learn to take smaller bites and slow down?
  16. You poor thing, Sarah. I know you've had to work really long hours, too. What kind of place do you work at? This economic crisis is awful. I'm just glad that we have something positive going on right now -- our super amazing bodies are emerging! Hang in there!!!
  17. Wow, you're all doing so well with your weight loss! Missbinda, I'm sorry to hear that your first fill was postponed. That must be so frustrating!!! It is interesting to see how different everyone's body is in terms of how much fill they need. My surgeon explained that it all depends on the size and shape of your stomach. When I got my first fill, I found out that I already had 5 cc's in from surgery! Yet I didn't feel any restriction. Then he only put in 1 cc and I felt it. Strange. Now that I am 3 1/2 weeks out from my fill, I'm starting to lose that restriction feeling. I have to wait until July 24 for my next fill. I'm sure I'll be ready by then! Good luck to everyone! Keep up the great work!
  18. Sarah, you crack me up!!! You're going to have to change your screen name to Sarahfartzz I think. Look, they even have an icon for you::crying: LOL :rolleyes2:
  19. Count me in also! Cuz I definitely need a brain band!
  20. Thanks for your reply, Mamadot. Makes me feel a lot better to know that this particular topic is being discussed in a support group. Means I am definitely not alone. *whew*
  21. Fischer's Salt & Pepper Cashews are wonderful!!
  22. Good point, Sarah! I need to eat tastier food!
  23. WOW, CONGRATULATIONS, EVERYONE!!!! Everyone is doing so well! I lost 4 this week. That fill is really working. Leeann, I'm so sorry to hear about your niece. How tragic! My heart goes out to you and her family. Big Hugs to you:
  24. Oh! That makes total sense! Thanks, John, and good luck! :bored: I'm only able to get about 3 hours of good satiety, then I have to drink lots of water and distract myself with whatever I can. I'd love to have 5 hours. Cheers!
