  1. A fellow Brooklynite was appalled when I told him I was moving to Florida. He told me "those people are stupid down there", and he even told me that there is a name for them; "Floridiots".:violin: Well, he has been proven right. :croc: But, 90% of the people I have met in Florida come from "Up North", Cuba or Mexico. :frusty:
  2. wavydaby & Carlene: I just wanted to get your (respective) Goats with my North/South remark.
  3. But Carlene does not have to supply the bridesmaid that they want. Carlene should stick to her guns and stay home along with the rst of the people who live with her.
  4. When people quote Ann Coulter and agree that members of congress and civilians should be tried, convicted and sentenced as traitors for saying BuSh was wrong, then there is a problem. No. I do not want to take away Ann Coulter's free speech, but there needs to be someone in the world who can arbitrate facts. Opinions can never be arbitrated, but facts can. I have read Ann Coulter's books and while I disagree with her, I can only make a case because I know her opinions have little chance of being on the money when she bases them on "facts" that are actually lies. If a reader thought that the "facts" she presented in her book were true, I could see that reader agreeing with her, but if that same reader knew the "facts" to be false and not facts, in fact, then I doubt the reader would go along with the opinions she reaches. I have seen her on TV debate shows. She will state #1. Coulter Fact A #2. Coulter Fact B #3. Based on Coulter Facts A&B, Conclusion C Then one of the non-conservative guests will say, "Wait a minute, fact A never happened" and give details, dates, times, actual facts. Ms. Coulter will respond, "well, it almost did" and then another non-conservative guests will say, "Wait a minute, fact B never happened" and give details, dates, times, actual facts. Ms. Coulter will respond, "well, but..." So how can Conclusion C based on lies A&B, be supported? It can't. But an Ann Coulter book reader never hears the non-conservatives refuting her "facts" while reading. Even intelligent conservatives like George Will have uncomplimentary things to say about Ann Coulter. Only the lunatic fringe would want people who explain why they voted against the members of congress (who support the BuSh administration) in jail for treason and only the lunatic fringe would want the members of congress who do not support the BuSh administration in jail for treason (IMHO).
  5. I don't care who's wedding it is!! It is your responsibility to teach the grand-daughter that you are raising lessons about fairness and selfishness. You are doing the best you can in this "me first, me only" world. You have my support. I hope that doesn't change your mind.
  6. There is not much to worry about. The biggest problem I had was getting in and out of bed, and rolling over while in bed. A few days sleeping in my recliner and things were A-Ok after that. I was walking for 30 minutes within 3 or 4 days of surgery and gradually increased my walking duration steadily after that. Best suggestion: Exercise as much as possible pre-op. The better shape your body is in in before the operation, the quicker you will feel better afterward. It is not too late to start exercising. It never is.

Even with my computer and Google.:faint:

A lot of questions that I could not answer.:help:
  9. If the victim didn't have his "15 minutes of fame" while alive, they are giving him "5 minutes" posthumously.
  10. And then there is the bastion of free press, the Washington Times owned by Sun Myung Moon. Most Americans would be appalled to know that the conservative revolution has been financed by the M&M boys; "Murdoch & Moon". Worse than being financed, the news has been manipulated by the M&M boys; "Murdoch & Moon". So much of our news comes from media companies owned and content controlled by rich conservatives, while the claim is that the news is biased to "the Left". Between the FOX Network, Clear-Channel Radio Network and the print empires of M&M and the TV networks owned by conservative corporations, probably 90% of all news passes through these media outlets before reaching the public. I will not venture a guess as to how much of that news is manipulated for the benefit of the political leanings of the owners of those media outlets. You can make your own guess.
  11. Tina is going to kill me for staying up so late. I have an MRI on my brain tomorrow morning at 8am. Fighting the school buses at that time means I will have to leave about 7:15 to make it on time. I am not worried. I am sure they won't find anything.
  12. Good Night!!:faint:
  13. They make more money while sleeping that we make while awake. And I mean sleeping.
  14. Arnold has been softening as of late. It could be that Maria Shriver is indoctrinating him into humanity.
  15. And Randy Macho-Man Savage for Secretary of State?
  16. Its called sending up a trial balloon. :usa2: If the response is good, you stick with the remark. If the reponse is negative, you claim that you were only kidding.:violin:
  17. I wonder how much the chemicals they put into animal feed and animals, and the chemicals they use on fruits and vegetables has to do with it.
  18. You may be putting the cart before the horse. If you have decided where to want to go on your vacation, you will probably find that there are only 2 or 3 choices of airlines that fly between where you live and where you want to vacation. I hope you are not going to decide where you will go for your vacation based on the which airline you heard has the best seating for big people.
  19. In the North it is, but in the South it is "Give up the Goat".
  20. Are you trying to get his Goat?:amen:
  21. Isn't that a repeat, where they try to show that the dead sea scrolls prophesized everything from 911 to Adolph Hitler?

Laurend for President in 2020. Unless we can change the constitution to lower the minimum age.
  23. Nobody forced BuSh to pick his circle of advisors. I can not believe that he just happened to get a bad lot. Maybe if BuSh had chosen less advisors from PNAC, we would not have invaded Iraq.
  24. I was trying to be cute, but my distaste for her runs deep. My remark meant that she says things that others only think, but do not dare to say. Hence she has the balls to say what others are afraid to say. She plays with logic as when on the YouTube clip she says that 100% of the airline attacks in the last 20 year shave been committed by Muslims, so when there is a 100% chance, it is ceases to be profiling, it is a description of the suspect. She is wrong in her logic. Just because 100% of the attacks are by Muslims, doesn't mean that 100% of Muslims are doing it, and profiling 100% of Muslims is punishing innocent people. Just about every serial killer of prostitutes has been a white man. Should we ask our police to stop every white man walking the streets late at night? Or to stop every white man driving alone late at night? Of course not, but it is worse than that. How do you tell a Muslim from a Jew. Many people can not tell a Muslim from person from India (who are very seldom Muslims). Many people can not tell a Muslim from an Hispanic. Chinese people are sometimes Muslims as are some whites and some Blacks. If I was a Muslim and wanted to hijack a plane, I would carry a copy of the KJV of the Bible with me, or wear a Yamaka. It is funny how the conservative FOX Noise channel made a big fuss the other day, because an airport worker escorted ex-vice president Gore around airport security. This is the same FOX that wants profiling of Muslims to allow the safe people faster access to airplanes. Seems like FOX is being “Fair and Balanced" as usual. They want Muslims profiled because of the high risk of terrorism, but want the ex-vice president treated like anyone else, though I haven't heard of any planes being hijacked by vice-presidents, past or present. The US has a pilot program for speeding frequent fliers through security screening. FOX has been in favor of these type programs in the past. I wonder if FOX would think that Al Gore is as low a risk as the frequent flyers in the pilot program. I wonder if Muslims will be allowed to sign up for the program.
  25. Probably just playing Possum.
