  1. I have 9 ccs in my 9 cc Realize band. I am just shy of 6 mos out so they are looking into getting a fill under fluro to see if there are problems with my band or something else going on. However, YES... I'm worried about what my next step is. Where am I gonna turn when I need a fill once a year? I do have a decent amount of restriction but if I had more to fill I think I would.
  2. Love new followers!!!! http://rockingtheband.blogspot.com
  3. I think I might puke trying but I have to see if I can ride ALL the rides at Six Flags again... I had to get off a handful of times because this or that buckle/strap/whatever wouldn't reach.
  4. I went back to look at what I lost.. I lost 12 lbs in the first month post-op. I believe I lost 8 lbs on the pre-op diet. I lost 5.4 lbs in the second month post-op. I think I'm the more typical 1-2 lbs per week loser but I don't lose that each week either. Sometimes I lose none... but make up for it later. Good luck!!
  5. welcome!! good luck on your journey!
  6. Congrats to you!! I hope things go as you would like!
  7. what an inspiration you all are!!!! i'll have pics soon i hope!!!
  8. The psychologist was my first stop. I couldn't get a date until he approved. I had to see him once more after the initial visit (which he said MOST do have a second, third, etc. visit with him) but I got approved on my second visit with him. The nutritionist also had to sign off on me though. (I had no problems with that.)
  9. Hope all went well today!! Let us know!!
  10. Hello! I was banded on 4/22 and feeling great today! Haven't taken any meds since right before bed last night. I wake up a bit sore from the limited sleeping positions but nothing unmanageable! :smile2: I came home on the pureed diet so I can have anything I can puree or anything the consistency of applesauce. I had chicken w/gravy in the hospital and it was delicious, first food in weeks after all! :w00t: I haven't found any protein drinks that I like yet and am struggling with that. We're going to run to GNC today to try a few others and see what else is out there. Nectar - roadside lemonade was disgusting. I can't bring myself to drink anything chocolate flavored since my pre-op diet was based on a chocolate milk-type shake. Hope everyone's well!
  11. My date was bumped up! I'm now April 22!!!

  15. I got health psych approval today and went to speak to the program coordinator about what's next and she got on the phone and got me a date!!!! OMG!!! APRIL 28TH is my date!!!! WOW! I have TWO WEEKS before I start the liquid diet on the 14th and then it will all begin! WOW. I can't say it enough  I'm thrilled! WOW!!!
  16. I am also hoping for a May date! I'll see the psych again on the 30th and see the nut. again on April 15th! All I need is psych approval to get a date (self-pay) and so I'm hoping to get that on the 30th.. keep your fingers crossed for me!!!
  17. Bummer Sarah - no time to really go out with a bang that way huh? I guess that's a good thing though Best wishes to you!! Thanks everyone else!!
  18. Hello! I'm Tiffani. I'm 26 years old and decided to pursue the lap band surgery via self pay. My insurance won't cover it for any reasons and I have a few health issues that need resolving and they all center around the one thing this surgery will help.. my weight. So, I'm here for education, support, friends, and whatever else may come as I head down this new road. I've had to take my behavioral health eval (732 true/false questions) and then followed up two weeks later with the psych eval. That was this last Monday, March 2. The 20th I'll see the nutritionist and on the 30th I'll see the psych again. He wanted me to make a few changes and show I'm committed. So there it is!! I hope to have a surgery date sometime next month (not the surgery next month, just to KNOW the date!). I just need to be cleared by psych and I will be coordinated for surgery... wish me luck!
