  2. I was also told no straws but that was only for the beginning until the surgery healed. I now use them all the time.
  3. Hello Dave, I don't know your surgeon as I had my surgery in Fort Worth, TX. I would have thought you would have looked into his background prior to this but as long as he makes you comfortable - go for it. It took me about a year to go forward with my surgery and the only regret was I didn't do it sooner! If you have any other questions you can reach me though this forum or email me at jea195otr@aol.com. I had my surgery in May 2009.
  4. I had my surgery in May 2009 and my port does stick out a little and is noticeable. However, I use it as my war medal against obesity and when (and if) people ask me about it is easily explained and accepted. Sometimes I am even proud to show it off and, as your doctor states, don't worry about it. You are going to be more impressed with the weight loss in a few months!
  5. That's a curious question, however, my lap band was done in May 2009 and I haven't had any problems. I know it is still there but I have adjusted to eating correctly so sometimes I feel that it has deflated or slid off but then I eat wrong and am quickly reminded that it is where it's suppose to be, just remember to have your yearly checkups. That's important.
  6. If you try to over eat you will throw-up. No matter where you are. You will need to get use to your new eating habits. I am a slow learner but I made it and you will too. Just remember NO, NO, NO carbonated beverages EVER!!!
  7. I don't know anything about this. Were you able to research it on the net? I do, however recommend Boresha fat burning coffee. They also have "CodeBreaker" dietary supplement if your not a coffee drinker. You can check them out at www.BoreshaResearch.com.
