okay, i'm 8 months out and i've only lost 45lbs. I'm exercising and doing all i'm suppose to but I've come to a stand still. Nothing is coming off. I'm proud of the weight i've lost, and i'm exciting abt wearing smaller clothes. Any suggestions on how to get the last 30lbs off??? and cold weather is coming worried i'll put some of the weight back on....

im 7 months out, and have only lost 45lbs. I go see the doctor every 6wks, and she wasn't to happy with my weight lose. She put me thru the grinder trying to find out what i was eating. I'm eating what i'm suppose to and exerciseing. No Junk! I've gone thru alot to get where i'm at now. And she just made me feel really bad bc i only lost 2lbs in 6wks. but i do feel great, i've gone from 270 lbs to 225. So, what i was wondering is there a slowing down period or do i need to get another fill bc 6wks ago i opted not to get a one.

i left that bit of info out. LOL but since you brought it up 1st....yes i have gas really bad. My hubby tells me all the time...to give him a warning b4 i let one go. And i jus can't help it. Awwww..its awful..but funny!

I have BC/BS and i got my approvl letter. Had my surgery in Feb of 09. I paid $1000 for co-pay. Now i get a bill for nearly 27,000!!! I've called the hospital, and now dealing with insurance co. so far, there are no new sumbited charges. Noone will tell me anything. ....any suggestions

i went and visited some of my friends and they all know i've had the band done. So, they were all like, how come you haven't lost like 50lbs already. Good Freak'n grief people, i've already lost 35 and i'm pretty dang excited abt it. And you wanna rain on my parade!! I guess what they don't realize is that i didn't get fat over night. It took years for me to get this big, and its gonna take some work and big effort on my part to get it all off. Yea, i wish it would all just come off so easily but its not. I gotta work at it and with the band, its not so hard. So, while my friends stuff there faces with burgers and fries and drink tons of soda. I'll be xtremly happy with small salad. I'll have my water in an hour. LOL bc sooner or later its all gonna catch up with ya. Then you'll have a big caboose and i'll be slim, fit and ready to take on the world! LOL

i have BC/BS, and our out of pocket was 1000. worth every penny. LOL Have you looked into getting a loan?

i also have a 14cc band, and i went in for my 2nd fill. I know i barely have anything in there bc the dr made a remark abt how i don't have much in there. I haven't felt any restriction. But i follow my food list and eat 3 meals of 4 ozs a day and No snacking. I'm wonderin if i'm wired weird. Bc i'm actually kinda scared of feeling the restriction. I've heard if you get to much, you'll burp up that spit like stuff and it hurts like hell. Hmmmmmmm....

my dr is giving me a little bit a time also. I feel its better to be safe than sorry. I'm on my 2nd fill, and so far are reaping the benefits. I wish u lots of luck on your journey.

i was lookin at the paper work that i got when i left the hospital. 2 ozs of protein, and 2 ozs of veggies. So, i thought that was all i was suppose to have regardless. Maybe i'm in the wrong. I dunno. That's why i all you wonderful people to keep me straight.

im not that hungry anymore, and had my 1st fill done on the 3/31. I don't feel any difference, and i still can eat 3-4oz of food. I thought i would be able to handle the needle for the fill bc i used to give myself insulin shots but the needle is bigger and it hurt like heck. But the doctor said it was still a little tender and it will get better as time passes. Oh, and i dropped another 5lbs.

what will happen if your band has a leak? how do they fix it?

im 4wks out, and i'm doing really good. It seems that im more careful abt what i put in my mouth these days. I have my ups and downs when it comes to exercise. I do 20mins on the treadmill, and 15 on the elliptical. And if weather permits, im outside doing something. I just try keep myself busy. Since having my surgery, im off diabetic medicanes and will eventually get off high blood pressure pills. Im still having a bit of trouble with my liver enzymes. The count is really high. Im just hope'n that its bc my liver WAS really fatty. If not, i have some damage from diabeties. but i will not let that get me down. My family has seen the change and so can i. I used to be quiet, and try to be unseen. I have offically found my voice and i'm not putting up with anyone's BS. *LOL* I suppose that is enough for today, I need to get moving this afternoon.
