Hey you guys, I'm (hopefully) going to be banded on 04-06-09. I had a test come back bad and I have to take 8 pills a day for 14 days, retake the test, send it off and get it back on the 3rd of April, 3 days before my surgery. And if it comes back bad , he won't do the surgery. GOSH so many pills!! I have NEVER taken so many!! So anyway keep your fingers crossed eveything goes as planned!

Today I have 3 more wks. to go before my surgery! :thumbup: I go the Dr. in 2 wks. and then 7 days later I heve my Dr. I can't hardly believe it! It has been a LONG prcess!! So far I'm doing pretty good on my pre-op diet.

I don't know if it the insurance or not but your right about the shrinkage of the liver. Anyway 3 more wks to go! I've been in this process since Aug.08 and now it's finally coming to an end!! HURRAY!!!!

I know what you are talking about! My two daughters have both lived with my hubby and I and thier 4 kids combined and there is ALOT of emo eating. Right now my youngest daughter and her 4 yr. old is living here, so my house is NEVER quite! But we do what we have to cause we love em!

Hey you guys, I've told,of course my hubby and my kids and at work 2 of my best buds that I know won't tell. People who have never had a problem all their lives don't understand how hard it is! It's not hard to lose it but it's hard to keep it off!! And I don't want to have to deal with other people and their opinions. This is my life and I want to take control of it! And I know from watching other people that have had surgery how everyone talks about them and for sure watches EVERY thing they put in their mouths and I do not want to be under a microscope! Thanks for the idea about gallbladder surgery, I've been trying to come up with an idea about me taking off work!

Hey You Guys !! So glad to see someonelse is going to go thru the same thing on the same day !! I guess it's true, misery does love company! My Dr. makes his people lose 10 lbs. before he will do surgery and I'm down 5 lbs, and we have to keep it off until our surgery date. The 1st 3 days were AWFUL! The headaches , being hungry, and couldn't sleep but doing better now!

Boy are you right! I finally took some Tilynall and it left cause I'm now on day 6 and no headache! And I'm not all that hungry.

Here it is day 2 of my pre-op diet and my head hurts, I'm hungary and I lost an hour of sleep last nite but other than that I'm having a wonderful day !!!!!!!!!! :wink_smile:

Hi, everyone ! I'm having my surgery 04-06. Kinda nervous but also excited about my new life! Anyone out there that needs a buddy, drop me a line!

Hey 50 @ over gang, I went to the Dr. 2day for my consult, have to go on pre-op diet for 3 wks. and then I have my surgery on 04-06-09 ,any ideas to make this as easy as possible ?

Hey, Lighterload, I went for my consult at the Dr. today and I have got to start my pre- op diet tomorrow. My surgery date is April 6, and like you I AM determined to do good on it. I can't eat no more than 800 or 900 cal. a day and I have to get 20 gm. of protein in a day. Lets keep in touch so we can keep each other encouraged.

I'm new to all of this so you can be expecting me to be here as much as I can ! I am going to be like a big old sponge and just soak up all the support and help I canget !
