Glouchester is 100% right. The fact that he approached you in front if your kids just ups the creep factor even more. i think you should at least tell your husband something. Even if you don't wanna come right out and be specific about events. At least tell him you've gotten a creepy vibe from this guy lately and would prefer not to have your daughter take lessons from him anymore. And i know you're not a confrontational person but if he says anything else out of line do not hesitate to be as rude and blunt as needed.He may assume if you arent overly vocal about turning him down means you have an interest when you have none at all. Creeps like this will try to twist anything that you've said into some kind of invitation!

Im 5'4 and i was 225 when banded. I too carried my weight well. I can't count the number of times i heard "just work out a few times a week" or "you dont need surgery you aren't that fat" meanwhile my BP was out of control, my knees were killing me and i felt like crap all the time. Not to mention i was probably on my way to being a whole lot heavier. I finally started asking people if they thought i should have waited til i weighed 300 pounds and could'nt see my own feet? Thst shut a few people up.

I had to do the carnation shakes as well. It sucked!! Did some very unpleasant things to my stomach , TMI but I'm trying to be truthful. That being said, as sucky as the pre op diet it was, I now know it was well worth it. It's gonna suck but you can do it!!!

I've had my band for a month and I've only lost 2 pounds. What am I doing wrong ? Could it be the chicken fingers I eat every day? Maybe the oreos, or the half gallon of ice cream I wash them down with. Shouldn't i be skinny already. Has the band failed already. Isn't it supposed to make me thin overnight ? Please help!!! But not if your help involves me having to make any changes to either my crappy eating habits or nasty attitude. Any suggestions????

lets see. its been a really good week. 1. some of my size 10s are a bit lose. most of them are stretch but never in my life did i think id ever be below a 12 again, much less headed for an 8 2. may be TMI but realized i no longer need a mirror to help with certain aspects of grooming. 3. have discovered i actually have hip bones. 4. went to see my boyfriend this weekend. spent a day shopping and went to the beach. hes in great shape and he got winded not me. 5. had him call me today to tell me several of his co-workers commented on how hot his girlfriend was 6. and i know this is a scale victory but i've been stuck at around 160 for like 3 weeks. came home today from vacation and found i'd lost 4lbs, taking me to 156 my lowest weight in 12 yrs!!

im sure you will do wonderful!! and im sure all of your band friends will have helped prepare you for you future as a psychiatric nurse!!

just do it 1st thing in the morning. hot liquids are good for the band!!

next time someone asks me how the band works im gonna try using the baggie and the rubber band for a visual aid. i think it would be a huge help for someone with no medical background. so have you taken your boards yet? working ?
