  1. Congradulations on your acceptance letter. Things will get much better for you now. Good luck.
  2. I was just banded on April 20th and I am also starving. My stomach is growling and anytime I look at food it makes it worse. Nobody mentiond to me how hungry I would be during this healing stage. I can not wait to get back to Slimfast.
  3. I started my liquid diet on 4/10 and it is not as bad as I thought it would be. Lots of slim-fast, sugarfree jello, water, crystal light. My surgery is Monday the 20th so I am almost half way home. You will do fine.
  4. I am in Roscoe, IL which is about 10 minutes from the Wisconsin border. I am having my surgery at Beloit Memorial. Day 2 on liquids and doing fine.
  5. I am getting banded on April 20 and I have started my 10 day pre op diet. Had my ekg, blood work and swallow test today. I meet with my Dr. for a physical on the 17th and off to surgery on the 20th. I am very excited for this to happen. I started the process of getting the band back in Feb 2008 and 1 year later here I am.
  6. Well, I have finally reached my first day of the pre-op liquid diet. My surgery date is April 20 after waiting a year + to get to this date. I live in Roscoe, Illinois and I am married with a 12 year old boy. My family is behind me 100% and I know that this is the best thing that I can do for myself. If I can get thru the next 10 days without eating, I can get thru anything.
  7. I am going to see if I can get my denial reversed but in the mean time go back to Weight Watchers. I will hope for reversal but I need to do something now beacause the weight keeps pilling on.
  8. I was denied by BCBSIL and my case was accepted by the Obesity Law firm. I have recieved my case acceptance letter but have not heard from them since. I am hoping this will be my final step to getting approved as I started this long journey 1 year ago.
  9. So please tell me what have you done since getting denied by BCBSIL?
  10. I did my 6 month supervised weight loss program with my doctor and BCBS-IL denied me. They stated on the denial form "It is expected that appropriate non-surgical treament should have been attempted prior to surgical treatment of obesity." I had all the appropriate paperwork filled out by my doctor and showed weightloss, but I was still denined. I am in the process of appealing their decision with help from the Obesity Law firm. I have been working on this whole process for 1 year now and I am wondering if I will ever be able to have this surgery.
