I am trying to take pictures every two weeks with the same outfit on. Excuse the no makeup/crazy hair.
  2. It still is hard. I am conditioning myself to get over it. Whenever I drink after eating I get pretty bad heartburn until I make myself throw up the liquid. This has helped me with not drinking. Whenever I think of it I remember what it feels like leaning over the toilet. I am sadly not getting all my Water in. It's hard since I am a traveling teacher. I am getting better but after 3 months I still don't have it down. I used to drink water ALL the time. I will get my own classroom next school year and that will help, I am sure.
  3. Whenever I go out to eat I try to be careful about what I order, but sometimes I just really want something that I won't be able to eat the whole plate - or even half. Not many people are open to sharing meals with me so I have gotten used to spending 15 dollars for about a cup of food. Everyone loves eating off of my plate and eating my leftovers, though! The waiters get annoyed with me when I don't want a drink with my meal, they must think I am so cheap!!! I am down 45 pounds today. It's been 3 months and I was hoping to have lost more, I know I am still losing. It was so great to wear shorts and bathing suits on my Spring Break trip to the Philippines.
  4. I love my hiccups!
  5. I was only about 10 pounds heavier than you. I am about 3 months out. I have lost 40 pounds and I am still losing. I am losing a lot slower than people that were bigger than me, but have to keep telling myself it's not a race. I just had to stop listening to other people because they kept telling me that I should try to do it the natural. I have never felt better about myself. I bought a swimsuit from Banana Republic the other day for my Spring Break trip. When it came in the mail, it was TOO BIG!
  6. You look so great! Congrats!!
  7. You are doing great! Remember that everyone is different. I was told so many times to take measurements and didn't and now totally regret it. It's exciting to see the clothes fall off.
  8. I am almost 8 weeks out and am sleeping 8 hours and still so exhausted. I need to check out my vitamins. Thanks for posting this info.
  9. The pain for me was really bad because they didn't give me a morphine drip right after the surgery. When the pain medicine started wearing off it felt like someone was trying to kill me. As soon as I got the morphine, life was soooo much better.
  10. WOW. Cajun, I am really happy for you!
  11. Interesting question! One is position right in the middle of my stomach between my ribcage, another one about an inch lower on my right side. Two on each side of my bellybutton.
  12. I can't seem to find this answer anywhere, probably because it's a strange question. I have been drinking regular skim milk with my Protein shakes and drinking skim milk with no problems since the surgery. I wanted to drink some milk and we ran out of skim milk so I went downstairs to the local mini-mart and picked up some Korean low-fat milk. I usually buy my skim milk on the US military base because I have always liked skim milk and the low-fat milk off base is 1% or 2%. I had a bad reaction to it. My boyfriend is lactose intolerant so it was pretty much the same symptoms. The milk wasn't bad because a friend had some with no problem. Do you think it is possible that I am not intolerant to skim milk? I love milk and don't want to take it out of my diet. Soy milk tastes weird.
  13. My first two weeks out I lost about 10 pounds. So don't worry about it. I am learning now that everyone is different. I had my surgery the same day as another patient and she is down almost 40 pounds! WOW!
  14. There is this woman who recently had RNY and lost 120 pounds in a year and a half. She swears by wearing tummy tightening clothes and these upper arm pantyhose things. She uses the tightening creams all the time. She barely has any loose skin. I have bought some of the products. It may just be a myth, but it never hurts to try. She does a lot of yoga and pilates too.
  15. I keep reading the posts, but it is so hard not to step on that scale everyday. I feel like everywhere I go, people are asking. It's only been a little over a month for me and all the weight is just melting off. I know I am just setting myself up for disappointment but I can't help it. I have TWO scales in my house, three if we are counting the one on the WII fit. It's become an obsession.
