Lactose Intolerance Q

I can't seem to find this answer anywhere, probably because it's a strange question. I have been drinking regular skim milk with my Protein shakes and drinking skim milk with no problems since the surgery.

I wanted to drink some milk and we ran out of skim milk so I went downstairs to the local mini-mart and picked up some Korean low-fat milk. I usually buy my skim milk on the US military base because I have always liked skim milk and the low-fat milk off base is 1% or 2%. I had a bad reaction to it. My boyfriend is lactose intolerant so it was pretty much the same symptoms. The milk wasn't bad because a friend had some with no problem. Do you think it is possible that I am not intolerant to skim milk?

I love milk and don't want to take it out of my diet. Soy milk tastes weird.
