  1. Yep, I have been sitting at 193 for three days now. I am trying to figure out why. I am obsessed. My boyfriend is telling me stop doing this to myself and try to weigh myself once a week. I don't think I am walking as much as I need to.
  2. I cried today too. I am usually able to handle my cool but I don't know if it's the lack of food or what, I am an emotional mess. Congrats on getting out of the 180's....I am getting close to them.
  3. I am having about 700 calories a day as well. My doctor wants me eating something every 3 hours though. 3 Meals and then me sipping away on protein shakes.
  4. So I am almost 2 weeks out and since I am now on home soft/pureed foods, I feel that I am obsessing over food even more than I did pre-op. I keep thinking about what I can make for dinner and if I can eat this or that. Does this crazy food obsession leave? What can I do to get over it?
  5. Congrats! I am glad everything is going well for you.
  6. Congrats on getting sleeved! Some of the rumbling is strange, isn't it? Good luck and I still can't get all my protein drink, although it gets easier every day. I just don't want to force it down if I am not hungry.
  7. I wasn't going to eat it. I was just going to chew on it and then spit it out. I didn't do it, though. I found out my friend, a fitness freak does this with donuts. She chews on them and then spits them out. I'll try licking it next time....
  8. I wasn't planning on really "eating" it, since I am still on full liquids. I just wanted to taste it. I am better now, I actually went out to eat with some friends, I didn't eat, I just had some chicken noodle soup broth. It was great. Not the broth, but being able to go out with my friends.
  9. So it's been a week since my surgery (It's already Thursday here). I am doing okay. I am on full liquids and still not getting all my Protein down. I am trying my best. The boyfriend is over in the kitchen eating French Fries and a Burger - he's Korean so he has no issues with Metabolism. I know there are some fat Koreans, but the majority are very slim. Anyway, he's eating French Fries and I wonder what could I just take one French Fry, put it in my mouth, chew on it and then spit it out? :biggrin0: I am sure I am not the first one to think of this. I WON'T do it, but it sounds like a dream come true right now. Do these cravings go away?
  10. I am feeling you Coopersmom. I was a little worried because I knew that my online graduate classes started this week. This is the perfect time to be taking classes. I have finished all my assignments for the week!
  11. No, that's why I was so worried. I don't like caffeinated drinks. It think it was just due to the pain medications I was on.
  12. Just in update, the headaches are gone after day 3. Yay!
  13. Thanks. I don't drink coffee so I am thinking it is hydration. I am sipping water as I type.
  14. I am bringing this back up. I don't want to do anything since because I am feeling like my headache is taking over. Anyone have any advice? I know I am not getting all my protein in because I can't seem to drink fast enough.
  15. I am home now. I just can't get myself to drink 200ml (2/3 of a cup) of protein drink at a time. I am too full. I am sipping lots of water and I feel good about that. I am so happy to be on the other side of this. I just hope everything continues to go as smoothly. I did share a room in the hospital with a lovely woman from New Zealand who wanted to get the gastric bypass. I think the dr. roomed us together on purpose because he wanted her to go with the sleeve instead. She changed her mind to the sleeve and gets hers done on Monday. Maybe she will join this site as I showed it to her. The hospital experience was a bit of a language barrier sometimes because my Korean is not as good as it should be, but everyone was so helpful. The Dr. himself spoke perfect English and done seminars at Harvard.
  16. I had my surgery yesterday. Last night was pretty painful but I am feeling so much better now. I am even walking around. This is really exciting. I am leaving so I can walk some more!
  17. Ok, I am at the hospital and having surgery in a little over 12 hours! I am so nervous but super excited. You guys have been an amazing help and I will continue writing on here. I think I may be able to check in before my surgery. :001_smile:
  18. I take that back, I have lost 2 pounds. I was down to 205 for a day and I checked today and I am back to 208! I am not eating anything. I am on the pre-op diet and drinking lots of Protein. I am not really working out but walking at least 30 minutes a day!!! I haven't had a chance to search this, but anyone have this problem during their pre-op diet? Does this mean I won't lose any weight after my surgery? It's 3 days away and I am SOOO nervous. :001_smile::scared0:
  19. I tried putting a couple of different extracts in my shakes. I love maple extract in my vanilla shake in the morning. Yum!
  20. I am so glad I don't drink coffee I don't think I could handle a caffiene AND carb headache at the same time. Is anyone else having issues with memory or cognition.
  21. Amerigirl, I am with my pre-op diet too and craving a baguette. I have been feeling so woozy and drunk. Not dizzy, but I can't put my words together from my lack of food. This is how I felt when I was in the military and was working 16 hour shifts and I didn't get enough sleep.
  22. I am worried too, my surgery is a week away. I keep hearing about the people with the lower BMI's lose less, which makes sense. What is a lower BMI? I thought our BMI's all had to be pretty high for this surgery.
  23. I hear you. I usually get my hair thinned out at the salon when I get my ends cut and I told her not to bother this time around since my surgery was (is) coming up.
  24. It's going to come sooner than ever! :-)
