Hey Susan, You may think your weight loss is slow but that's awesome going from 24's to 20's. I know how hard that can be because I was in 24's too. Doesn't it feel good to buy smaller clothes. Be patient, and when you get your fill good and tight it will come off faster. It took me getting to 3.0cc's in a 4cc's band and now I'm very tight. Just wanted to say hi and keep in touch.

We own a small grocery store and a Simply Kountry Barbeque. Two kids, daughter 22 and son 20. One beautiful grandbaby, little girl 13 months old named Briana. Son is getting married July 7, 2007.

My Doc uses both but I have lost 50plus pounds and mostly in my stomach and have the low pro port so now I prefer by just feeling because he can feel it so easily and it only takes about 15 seconds. Much quicker. No problems at all by feeling.

Wow, They give me the end of the box my band came in to let me know that it was a 9.75 inamed, lowprofile. Did they not give you that? I would definitely want to know for sure what band you have because it takes a lot longer to fill the other one up and that could be your whole problem. Also, have you had the barrium swallow, that would tell how fast it is flowing and they could go by that to get your fill right. Wish you luck and keep us informed.

I have the inamed lowprofile port and love it. I've lost all my weight in my stomach area and this will help keep it from showing. Mine is the Inamed 9.75 low profile port.

I voted for his daddy twice and I have voted for our President twice and would do it over again in a heartbeat.

Congrats on your decision Bama, It will be the best decision of your life, or at least it was for me. I almost put it off till next year, instead I did it three months ago and 51 pounds are now gone. I'm so proud for you. Insurance companies are at the bottom of my list. I finally had to self pay in Mexico. Hooray for you. Keep in touch southern girl.

Hey guys, Mary, I too hope this is the one. So far it sure is. I mean after just a few bites I'll start that crazy hiccuping or something, so then I just lay my fork down. Yes, I did need time away. I don't like to talk about it on here but I did it to give me and hubby time apart. I think it might have helped a little, not much but I'll take all I can get. Thanks for thinking about me. Mary, I sure hope your feeling better soon. Isn't it crazy how much good 1cc's out can do. I've never, knock on wood, had an unfill but I've read about them a bunch. I'm like Beth, when you do start eating chew chew chew and then chew some more.

Hey Beth, Glad your feeling better and having a good week. I was gone from Monday until last night. I went to Nashville on a shopping trip and I stayed at the best hotel, they are all suites, I took my laptop, did my nails, colored my hair while I was there, just had some me time. Then I drove from there on up to Cincinatti for my 4th fill. I now have 3cc's in my 4cc band and am I every tight. I finally, finally, finally have great restriction. I had only lost 5 pounds since my last fill exactly 4 weeks ago. I hope this one kicks my butt. Have a great week. Keep in touch. I don't know where everyone else is.

Hi everyone, I'm home. The hotels I stayed at my laptop didn't want to do to well on they're wireless internet so I couldn't keep up with everyone. I called Dr. Curry while I was in Nashville on Thursday morning and told him it was much closer, only 4 hours to Cinci from Nashville and I had thought about getting another fill so with no appt. they told me to drive on up and they'd get me right in and they did. They are so good to work with. He hit it first time and for the first fill out of 4 I didn't feel a thing. He sprayed that numbing spray and I didn't feel nothing. I had only lost 5 pounds in 4 weeks so he went aggressive. I now have 3cc's in my 4cc's band. He said I shouldn't need anymore fills and I might need an unfill just to keep an eye on it. I'm very tight. But so far it's a good thing, I mean probably for the first real time since surgery I have great restriction. 1/2 cup is it. Just wanted to say hi and that I had missed talking to everyone. Hope everyone is well. Love ya,

First of all, that is the earliest I've heard of someone getting a fill so soon after surgery. My surgeon wanted us to wait up to 6 weeks that way we were eating solids again after 3rd week and didn't have to go so long on liquids. After my fills and I've had 4 now, rest of that day liquids, next day mushies and third day regular food. All seems so soon to me but all doctors are different. Try drinks with high protein that helped me more than anything.

Hello and welcome, I live in Western Kentucky and my insurance would not cover anything, they won't even pay for fills so I've been on my own. I've been out about 15,000.00 so far and I had a fill Thursday and had to stay over so a fill counting the drive to Cinci, hotel, eats and the fill usually costs me 500.00 and I've been having one a month. So, if insurance will pay you will be so much better off. I wish you luck. I have bc/bs Anthem and pay 619.00 per month and I might as well not even have insurance. They are worthless. I have the best policy money can buy and I'm just wasting our money. Can you go to Dr. Curry? He's in Cinci and I think he is the best. I just seen his Thursday, had no appt. and they worked me in. They are the best and I wished you would check into him if at all possible. Lots of people on here use him and everyone loves him. I had my surgery in Mexico but Dr. Curry does my fills and he would do you a wonderful job surgery wise.

My doctor put me on Lunest and that is one nasty tasting pill. You have this metal taste in your mouth for at least 12 hours. I just will not take this anymore. I'm going to call Monday and have him call me in some Ambien. I brother takes it and loves it.

I have to wait 2 weeks in between fills and mine says he can go to 5 cc's in the 4 cc band, don't ask me why. LOL.

There was someone on here the other day and posted about another place that did credit for them and it was like 3 percent interest and very low payments, I'll keep looking for you and see if I can find it. I took all of our savings that my husband was saving for a pole barn. I told him whenever he wants to walk out into his pole barn that we don't have, just take a good long look at me. LOL.

OMG, I would do it again in a heartbeat. I just wished when my grandmother mentioned it to me 2 years ago that I would have had it done then.

You all will do great and don't worry it's not worth it. It was much more simple than when I had a crown done, I swear. I too had a wonderful experience in Mexico and would go back in a heartbeat, much more caring than here. Dr. Sanchez done mine and it was 8500.00. Keep us informed, all of you. Good luck.

I mean I can still eat but like tonight I could go to mushies so I tried some pureed tuna fish and after 2 bites OMG, tight. They usually loosen up after 2 weeks so I hope this one is the one. Just thought I would share because I read all the time about how do you know if you have restriction well I now know that you WILL know. LOL. Hope everyone is doing great.
