  1. :rolleyes2: I had my first fill on March 19,2009 and I tell you it has not been a good feeling since. The pain I feel after trying to eat is horrible. I had to vomited several times just to relieve the pressure from my chest. Nothing but liquid for me right now. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow to find out how long on this liquid diet thing.
  2. My thoughts are the same as well. I was banded on Feb 9, 2009 and I have been struggling with the same issue. Well since I have been banded I still drink with my meals first to get wash stuck food to go down and to wash the dryness from my mouth. But I only take small tips. When I go out to eat I try to drink something before going or if it at the spare of the moment kind a of thing I want drink until I get my food. I always end up taking food home. How about the rolls they service before the meal? Its so tempting. :rolleyes2:
  3. Hi I was band on 2/9/09, and I have losted about 15lbs. I had a port problem as well. On 9/16/09 the incision where my port is located swelled so bad that it hurt and caused the incisionto bleed again. Well I went back to the Doctor he did not withdraw any blood from the spot, he just said it was normal sort of and sent me on my way. Wel I went on with this problem for about another two weeks and finally it has healed some and some swelling has subsided. I'm glad about at least I know it not infected any. he had prescribe some antiboctic for me but I did not need to take it. Plus I have enough pills to take that I have crush or open up caps that are yuky. Good luck on your journrey to healing and wieght loss

  5. After having the Lap Band does anyone drink Alcohol or sodas? And if so, how long did you wait to do so?
  6. I sip on water while I eat to help with drier food, then I wait about 30mins and I try to drink a full glass. However, I'm also afraid to drink to much. I don't drink nearly as much as I used to before I had my surgery on Feb 9, 2009:crying:
  7. I was banded on Feb. 9th, 2009. very anxious about the out come. So many people lap- banded but no one to talk to.
  8. Hello, I'm also scheduled for Lap Band surgery on Feb 9, 2009.I am very , very scared. I have started my liquid diet and I can say it is so hard to have control. I did fine while I was at work just drinking my liquids but as soon as I got home I had two short bread cookies. Yes I got mentally weak but I also felt dizzy too. I'm praying that I have strength and the will power to continue though. I just need to make to surgery day. This liquid diet has me worried, I don't want to fail.
