  1. Im cold now too - think it has a lot to do with missing my stuffing now hee hee...Ill take being cold over chunky any day! Im always in sweaters - use heated blanket, turn my heating pad on my bed to heat it up before I get in it lol
  2. ECK - good luck! That is only one of my reasons that I refuse to get blind fills
  3. I used the OCC as well - it was Dr.Ortiz's collegue (sp?) Dr.Martinez who did my surgery. If you go to their website a link is on it to go to the forum where most of us who were banded at the OCC are. You will learn a lot if thinking of going to that clinic. I am 100% satisfied with my decision. I go back for my fills even though I could get them free about two hours from where I live. But I love it there - and have made a lot of friends I go back to visit and the OCC is great!
  4. welcome and good luck! keep us posted! P.S. I love Philadelphia - went there to watch an Eagles game and while there realized how beautiful it is - and the museum is amazing!
  5. It took me longer to get hungry - but everyone is different. I had to resort to chewing and spitting to make my 21 days of liquids lol Just keep doing it! It is so worth it!
  6. I too was a lower BMI when I had surgery. I went to the OCC in Tijuana Mexico and am 100% happy with my decision. If you need more info go to their site.. Lap Band Surgery in Tijuana, Mexico - Dr. Ariel Ortiz on the lower right hand corner of that site is also another forum where its 99% of us patients who have been banded there good luck! feel free to pm me any questions!
  7. sorry no bad stories but DONT DO IT!! You can do it - resist..>I know chocolate is hard to resist - thats my down fall too....but really its not worth it. If you really have to chew and spit lol - thats what got me through my 21 days of liquids when I thought I would fail You went through too much pain, etc to get here - dont screw it up!
  8. PitaL - okay it sounds funny but its for pain in the ass that I love  I love love love my band, but it can be a pain in the rear - (pb'ing, getting used to my first fill - lots of restriction!)
  9. Im more sensitive now - way more - like if Im cold watch out Ill take out an eye
  10. I say wait too - if I were your wife to be...Id be pissed lol - cuz seriously you will still be sore and u want your wedding to rock!
  11. I was hungry about a week and a half later - but then when I got to start yogurt (after 7 days) it sure helped and then I was good until about day 17ish...I was on liquids for 21 days
  12. I went out 6 weeks post op - and didnt just have a little to drink either. I was fine. I wouldnt have drank before that though - and I was nervous. It did hit me kind of fast - but hey - I only go out a few times a year and am not going to stop having drinks. I say moderation is the key - although, I didnt use a lot of moderation that weekend
  13. 5 incisions, right below my left ribs
