Kirsten, Sorry if it seemed that I was rubbin it in. I wasn't. just commenting It has'nt been easy But I think in the long run It will be worth it. I thought it strange that I was not put on pre op diet and tried to cut back anyway. I have a lot of weight to lose.

Kirsten, Sorry I didn't mean to rub it in. We all have our troubles some more than others. It has not been easy but I think in time it will be worth it.

I have mine doen in Tijuana Mexico BY Dr. Sergio Verboonen. It cost 9200.00 and that included everything but airfare. The doctors were great and the little hospital was great.

My Doctor did'nt put me on a pre op diet.

Totally awesome! It gives me hope to be patience.

Natural Beauty, Just want to say thanks for the encouragement! I was banded on May 29th 2006 and I have lost 25 lbs. I have been wondering sy some days I can eat and some I can't. I was glad to hear from someone who has had the band for a long time. LaurieJane

Hi Lisa, I went through the same thing. After researching for about a month I decided I wanted to for my health. I was banded on May 29,have lost 22 lbs and feel so much better!I had heard the negative side of it but decided I would go for it. I don't regret it. Good Luck!

I was banded on May 29 in Tijuana Mexico with Dr. Sergio Verboonen. It was great and I am doing well lost 23 lbs. Dr. V has lsot 85 lbs after having surgery himself. He has done thousands also and will give you a choice of what kind of a band,

Hi, I had my first food attack last night. I was eating grits! I guess I ate too fast and the pain hit. I slimed for at least 3 hours off and on and could not even drink. This morning is better but I am still sore. I have been eating basically anything, bread, rice, chicken with no problem as long as I chew it to death. Hi, I was banded on May 31st by Dr. Sergio Verboonen In Tijuana Mexico. I had a lot of pain from the gas, but everything else well well. I notice if I eat too much I get a backache. has anyone else experienced this? My brother was banded the same day and he gets a backache if he Doesn't eat. So far I have lost 20 Pounds. I think it is mostly fluid but I am so glad!

I have Question. I was banded on 5/31/06. I started having fever first 100 and now it is 101. has any one heard of the body rejecting the band?

Hi, I am new here and am looking into the lapband surgery. I live in Lafayette, La. The prices in Mexico are much lower, but what about a fill doctor? how hard is it to find one?
