  1. I came on here tonight to see if I could find a post of this situation. At almost every meal that I eat I start feeling some sensations in the esaphagus after the first or second bite, and it does not really seem to matter what the food is that I am eating. I have PB'd three times since I have had my third fill and I have learned quickly the difference of the stuck feeling and the feeling in my esaphagus but I was really wondering what that feeling is and what the actuall "full feeling" feels like. Also, is it normal that the feeling in the esaphagus goes away after a while during the meal for you guys? I think I stop eating my meals not because I am full but because I can not stand the feeling in my esaphagus any more. There has been times that the feeling goes away and then I can eat a lot at the meal and never come close to PB'ing or feeling really full. I am still learning how this is supposed to work and it seems like I get a different feeling all the time and some times feel very confused. With that being said I have lost a lot of weight and now eat about 2 - 3 cups of food at a meal and usually do not feel too hungry between meals so it is working, even though I do not think I know what my full feeling is yet.
  2. I had my surgery in January and lost almost 50 pounds until I got my third fill two weeks ago. My doctor did not want to give me my third fill because he was wondering how I could lose all that weight even though I told him I did not think I was feeling any restriction but reluctanlty he did give me another fill. I believe I am at 3 CC's now and I think I am feeling restriction like I wanted. I still am not sure if what I am feeling is normal but I now maybe eat about 2 cups of food at a meal and have a healthy snack between meals and have lost over 10 pounds since my fill on July 24th.

    Loose skin after surgery

I had my band surgery in January and have lost almost 60 pounds since then and lost close to 40 before the surgery from October until January and I do not have any problem with loose skin yet. I am 34 years old and had stretch marks from putting on the weight so I thought I was going to have loose sking but so far so good.

    January 21st Banders

I have not been worrying about calories. I have just been having my Protein shakes and some Water and Popsicles and do not really feel hungry. I have had some soup, thrown in a blender and made totally liquid of course, and that has helped to have some sense of normalcy. Just got back from the surgeons office today and I have lost 9 pounds. Have any of you gone back to work yet. I worked the last two days and they were the worst two days since surgery. My surgeon said I need to relax more and suggests I do not work any more this week but I think I will not work tomorrow and work half days Thursday and Friday.

    January 21st Banders

I went for a walk today and am drinking fine. I have some gurgling and some inside gas, if that makes sense, but for the most part I feel great. Every once in a while i get like a lump in my throat but it passes with a belch or a nice deep breath. I honestly can not believe how easy everything is and how little pain or discomfort I am in. I am about to go for another walk and probably will again later. Keep up the good work everyone!!!!
  6. My doctor just has me on two Flintstone complete chewables a day.

    January 21st Banders

I am home now and pretty much feeling fine. I have the gas pain at times but for the most part I feel fine laying down. I have had almost 64 oz of liquid and took a walk for about 1/2 a block twice. How is everyone else doing? Everything went great for me.

    January 21st Banders

I too am getting banded on the 21st. I have been on a liquid diet since the 14th. It has been hard at times but I actually think it has been easier than I thought it would. I usually have a double serving of a Protein shake three times a day and drink a lot of Water. The hardest part is just being around other people that are eating. Tomorrow is a clear liquid diet for me, no Protein shakes and pretty much all water and crystal lite mixes in the water...not looking forward to it. I think I am going to have my last diet soda for a long time. I think everything will get easier after the surgery after the experience of a week of liquid diet and not struggling too much with it.
  9. I am 9 days from my surgery and nervous about the things I may not know. I feel like I have done enough research and feel like I know everything I should know, but I also feel like I do not know anything. I am a self pay so the process has been pretty quick from the time I decided to skip the insurance and the scheduling of the surgery. Because I am self pay I have not met with a nutrionalist and am just going off the info from the surgeons office so I think that is why I feel a little in the dark. I am positive this will work and really enjoy ready all the posts on this site and will be here many times in the near future. Well I just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to reading many of the posts here and getting a lot of support, from what I can tell, a lot of good people on this site!!!:cursing: Off to buy my preop diet requirements
