  1. Hey Voice, I am sooo happy for you I really needed to hear some good news and yours is absolutely the best news I've heard in three days! Keep your head up things going to get better and better one day at a time. Ann
  2. Well, ladies my husband thinks that I'm his new play toy...LOL! He ain't no good at all! I finally figured out what his game plan is: he get me all rowled up then watch me go for it...nasty I tell you and down right sneaky! Have fun lady's it ALL GOOD and getting better!
  3. You are doing okay, don't worry you have the rest of life to get this figured out. The bumps in the road are just that so, stop and regroup and tell your doctor what you are going through. I had the same problem and my doctor desided to removed all of the Fluid from my band and quess what? All of the fliud had already leaked out! All of this time we thought there were 5.5 cc's in my band and I just wasn't getting any restriction. Now I have 5 cc's in my band and I've never felt restriction like this ever. My surgery was 1/12/09 and I have only lost 24 lbs. my dr said I did it on my own. So now I've expeirenced getting something stuck for the first time and it was horrible...I haven't vomited in over 14 yrs. but the best part is that it was only fluid no chunks I think I would have fainted  LOL!
  4. Hello! SOS! please count me in. I'm a Alabama girl suck in Arizona...no support here at all. I've never felt so seperated from people.
  5. Hi Michelle, how are things going for you?
  6. Hi All, I haven't had a BM yet and I'm beginning to worry. Today I can have mushies, so I am going to eat watery mashed potatoes for lunch yumm can't wait what I am craving is tuna salada Still not feeling like walking just resting and moveing from room to room...
  7. Thank you guys, I am sipping liquids to prevent dehydration. I don't feel sick I just don't want anything to eat. It's good to that this is a normal experience for some of us. I'm really learning a lot about my eating habits that I would have never identified before the surgery. Whatever pops into my head I go to the kitchen a get or I get into my car and go get it...Zero discipline and it has to change now. Ann Trying to figure things out....
  8. Hi Chris, My name is Ann and I'm addicted to Hersey’s plain chocolate...I will melt it to dip strawberries just for a daily snack. I will eat it on a train or in plane. But, I am committed to a healthier life style and will deal with my temptations as they come. Will I still eat strawberries and chocolate? You bet I will... on special occasions. Ann
  9. Thank you Lilly, I think you are right when my appetite comes back hide your lunch LOL! My husband said that I am subconsciously protesting because I don't want to be on the liquid diet part... Honestly there maybe a little truth to that. After 26 years he just may know me a little bit. Thanks again, Ann
  10. I have absolutely no appetite what so ever, I don’t even want to drink water. Any ideas why or what to do? Is anyone else experiencing this too? I was banded on Jan 12th. prehaps I'm just not able to identify what I'm feeling right now. Please comment...

  13. All is well here! The gas isn't bad at all, and I will also say that your gain is from the IV fluids and you'll pee that all out by tomorrow. Rest well friends! 227/214/145

no it is not always fatal.
  15. Well, I have had my share of bad friends but, in your case I have one question, did you mention to her that you were "thinking about WLS?" If your answer is yes I will bet you anything that she had gastic bypass surgery. That's exactly what my bad friend did to me, only 70 lbs later after I heard it throught the grapevine she said to me, "I told you that I was thinking about it". (Bullchunks!) That wasn't the only thing she's done to me in the past but that is the last one. When she calls I press ignore and continue what I was doing. My fovorite saying is: "Press play and move forword." After reading so many postings about the dreaded band erosion, I decided to dig a little deeper into this problem many us have or possible may, hopefully "may not" have to deal with in the distant future. From the medical journals I've read so far, 35% of band patients experience some type of erosion to some degree and about 2% of those have their bands removed. Some doctors will not reband within six months of removal and depending on the severity of the erosion rebanding may not be an option however, gastric bypass is an option and some doctors will perform the procedure at the time the eroded band is removed. With this said I say, please research for yourselves what causes erosion and eliminate those behaviors to the best of your ability and live life to the fullest. Hello to all of you wonderful bandsters. The purpose of this Blog is to request each of you to post what "you" believe to be you source of strength to: put your goals at the forefront of your life whether it is prayer, meditation, favorite quotes or inspiration from others, or support and advise from a person who has traveled down this same road. Whatever it is, please share your stories that may help us less focused constantly distracted and who lacks integrity when it comes to our own individual goals. I must say that for now my motivation stems from a fear of failure. I must give myself a far shake at making this work without self sabotaging the way I've done many times in the past. I also believe in preparation, I have adult ADD and I have to plan out everything ahead of time or nothing at all will get done. I have make a daily schedule or I WON’T go to bed on time, I say up too late and feel too tired to work out or leave the house without eating breakfast because I over slept. The list goes on and on for me. I'm can’t wait to read all the creative ideas that you all have and I know the information you post will help someone. Have a very Happy New Year! Thank you, Ann

Prayer can and will change things... I predict that once you reach your goal weight he will do one of two things: take credit for it or pretend he never said a mean thing to you his life. Some men are just funny that way. My best friend of 14 years is Mexican and I can tell you that her family over the years has treated her horribly and guest what? They forgive each other and pretend nothing ever happened. So I say to you... forgive your father for his ignorance, he really can't help it so, please press play and move forward with or without him. Ann Ann
