Most of the time I don't feel like lunch, but sometimes I am a little hungry because i threw the protein shake out without finishing it. So what are you guys able to get down at lunch time? After nearly 4 years, I want to quit
You think four years is a long time try five long years ago. I have a really really long story but in short I had a couple of really bad blind fills. I too had given up. I had just decided maybe I made a huge mistake. But my dh said to me don't give up, what you have is an investment in yourself. It seems like something else always comes up and you may not be able to put yourself first, but what you have to do is recommit to taking care of you. I am at a slow go now. But I will take this over the slumb I were in. Start looking at the before and after pictures of others and that always reminds me that hey this really does work! You just have to reinvent yourself, read a couple of other post and you 'll find their are a lot of people in worser shape. Look down on the floor and pick yourself up and realize that you can do better today than yesterday. And one other thing that is really important is try to get your fills done under fluoroscopy. In my opinion that helps a lot.

Sushi
Thank you all so much for responding. I would like to try something different as was mentioned in a few post, does anyone else have any particular suggestions on their favorites? I don't want anything raw. But if you could mention the name and describe it a liitle it would be greatly appreciated. I am definitely going to try the sashima style. I think I would prefer that over the brown rice idea. Although I haven't ruled the brown rice out completely.

Sushi
will that be raw or cooked (please explain sashimi style). oh and after banding you will find that you won't be wolfing anything done in a hurry, or you will be in big trouble. LOL

Sushi
Thanks so much. I appreciate the website. I guess its good in one way but high in carbs due to the rice. I need to try and find another one that is better, I mean higher in protein but lower in carbs.

Sushi
Go figure the only one I like has rice in it. Its called bbq eel ( I know sounds weird). But I can only eat 2 pieces anyways. Does anybody know the nutrition side of sushi? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

My 1st Lap Band Fill With Dr. Stephanie In Bryan/college Station
I had a fill done with Dr. Stephanie 2months ago. This was my second time with her and both times, she was great. I flew first time and drove this time for 7.5 hrs. She has a new location. They can give you directions over the phone on how to find it. She also has a lapband herself, so she is very understanding. I hope this helps.

Water It Down?
No, not that the water hurts. But only when I drink a whole lot of water in the evening, then I am able to eat a little dinner. But I can't even eat lunch most days because it feels like it does in the morning, like it is really tight or something. So I was wondering if most people who have decent restriction are drinking a lot of water before each meal?

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Thanks a lot. I will try that. I really am a coward. But I will go out today and ride for the first time in a long time.

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
You all are so encouraging. I haven't road my bike in months. Matter of fact I am too ashamed, I think its been even longer. But the weather here is great for a change. I think I am going to wait until my dd gets home from school and do a mile or 2 or 3! The only thing is I am scared to death of loose dogs.

Water It Down?
Hi all, I hadn't posted in a while but here goes. I was banded early last summer. I had a little fill during surgery. However I got my 2nd fill Late May this year, with little or no restriction. I went in on Aug. 30 and got a fill from 1.5cc to 2.25cc (experience was awful) but anyways I was miserable. I drank water in the office fine, but when I got home I was very uncomfortable. So I went back in Sep.4th and got .25cc removed to 2.0cc. I still feel it maybe to tight. But I took out my research and starting reading over my notes. My question is for all who do have good restriction are you watering your pouch down really good before you eat? It seems that I can eat dinner if I drink enough water until I am miserable and then sat down to eat a small amount (for ex. last night I had 2oz. of samon, steamed mustard greens and a tablespoon of rice) and I was very satisfied. But at breakfast I am only able to have a protein shake and at lunch I can hardly eat anything without being miserable. Once I watered my pouch down real good at lunch, I was able to eat six crackers with sardines. Is this how you all are getting by. By drinking several ounces of water (until you can't drink anymore)? Please any info would be most appreciated!
