  1. Thank you to everyone who responded to my "cry for help", Lol. I feel much better! "elysenoland", I am so sorry for your loss! my heart go's out to you and your family. Stay strong! "ddgalarza", wow a slipped band and hernia! That must have been horrible, glad to hear you are on the mend and back on track. "TklMeSkinny", your absolutely right! support is the key I believe. I have heard of Men are from Mars, woman are from Venus, but did not know of the book you mentioned, I am definitely going to grab that book! "Glammaw", congrat's on the Onederlander!
  2. Actually I never heard of such a thing. I drink 2-3 cups a day, no problems.
  3. HELP!.....I haven't been on here in a while because I'm too ashamed and disgusted in myself! I was banded in Nov/08, was doing good for a while, then I woke up one morning and could not even swallow water! I called my doctor, and went in and the nurse suggested a slight defill. That slight defill was back in October/09. I felt great after the slight defill, except for the fact that I could eat a lot again! Since then I have gained back 10 lbs! Now its almost like I was never banded except for the fact that its harder to eat, you all know what I mean, Lol. To makes things worse, since my slight defill, my husband of 18 years has told me he wants a divorce! Needless to say my old eating habits have returned! I eat constantly! and very bad food choice's too. I'm posting this because I feel it's the first step I need to get back on track. I am constantly forcing my food down with large sums of water and then I continue eating. Yesterday I ate so much that I thought my stomach was going to burst! I have decided to go away for a week to get away from everything. Doe's anyone know how flying affects our bands? do I need to get a complete defill to fly? (air pressure?) Well I already feel better by posting this, if anyone has some advice or has gone through a similar situation I would appreciate feedback. Thxs everyone! :frown:

  6. Nope, no soda! I was addicted to diet coke for years, its been the hardest thing to give up. now I like to have a glass of raspberry ice flavor crystal lite with ice.
  7. LOL :cursing: I gurgle too! My husband heard it for the first time yesterday. We were eating dinner, and my husband asked me to mute the TV, and then said "do you hear that?" I started laughing and said "yeah its just me!" he thought it was quit funny! I have not hit my sweet spot yet either. I'm sitting at 5 cc's. Hopefully the next one will do the trick!
  8. I had the same problem. It was awful, finally I figured it had to be the diet so I ate 1 egg, and 1 slice of whole wheat bread. Almost instantly my headache went away! I just needed that little bit of "real food" and then I was fine for the rest of my pre-op diet. I still lost 14 lbs. on the pre-op diet, and my surgeon was more than happy with that. Hope that helps!
  9. Me too! Chicken is difficult! I either have to cook it in the crock pot, use some kind of sauce, and take really, really small bites.
  10. I'm going to Scotland in April, and I plan on getting unfilled before I go. I have heard too many horror stories, and I don't want to be miserable for my trip! lol

  12. hey "doodleallday" I'm glad to see you on here. You got your surgery, ya!! Congrat's! Just a helpful word of caution, you should'nt be eating potatoes yet. you should be on liguids only. did your doc say it was ok? please be careful, as you might think your food is going down ok, but you are healing, and you could cause some serious damage by eating. you might nit heal properly causeing a slip later on. take care,
