  1. Hey! I just had my surgery and I am right there with you. I am sore, bruised and my shoulder hurts. But each day it all gets better a little. Hopefully I will be 100% soon. Tomorrow will be a week. I haven't lost any weight yet even though I am only doing protien shakes, yogurt, broths, and baby food fruit, but I am still so bloated from the surgery I figure it doesn't matter yet. Have you started losing any weight yet?
  2. Heather, thanks for checking on me. I am doing a bit better. Still more and more bruising coming through each day but Dr. said just take lots of tylenol. Going to see them on Wed. I am feeling better today though. As for you.... GOOD LUCK tomorrow. You will do great. I bet you are excited.
  3. Racheal good luck tomorrow! It'll be great! Don't be nervous.
  4. Hi Heather, I did call the Dr's office and they told me to just keep being active and if I didn't feel better to call them back tomorrow (monday).
  5. What is this card you guys all mentioned? I don't have any kind of card or anything. Do I need to ask my Dr. for one?
  6. How are you doing now? I had my surgery on 11/11 also. Are you feeling ok? Having any problems? I am having a pretty tough time. The clear liquids are fine, but I am in major pain. Having anything like that?
  7. My Name is Amy. I am 34 yrs old and the mom of a 2 little boys (2 and 5). I have been married for 12 years to my best friend. I never struggled with weight growing up as I was very athletic and played most every sport imaginable. But in college when I got into my major and started working in the computer world I balloned. I have spent the last 14 years trying to undue it all. I lost my parents when I was 6 and I had lapband surgery because I want to make sure I am here for my kids and I don't want them to be embarrased of me because I am the "fat mom". I had the surgery this past week on 11/11/08 here in Atlanta, GA where I live. I am not doing so well now. It sounds like everyone went through the beginning without much pain so I am feeling a bit alone in all this because I am in terrible pain. I walk constantly and yet I can't even lift my left arm I am in so much pain. I have slept every night with a heating pad on my arm. My stomach is completely black where the port is and th epain medication they game me does nothing. Has anyone else gone through this type of pain? I just wonder if this was all a mistake.
  8. I hope it isn't too late for me to be part of the Notorious Novembers Spreadsheet. I just joined this website and I think the spreadsheet is such an amazing idea. Surgery date = 11/11/2008 Highest Weight = 238 Preop diet starting weight = 228 Surgery weight (Your weight the day of surgery) = 224 Current weight = 222 Goal weight = 135
  9. I just had surgery on November 11th by Dr. Hart with True Results in Atlanta, GA.
