  2. I am at day 12, and I feel like screaming out my door, NO MORE DAMN SOUP!!! I go to the next phase on Friday, I don't want to cheat but I am scared that I won't make it. Please help
  3. I haven't purchased any cream of wheat yet. I am thinking trying that soon. I am so ready for pureed food.
  4. Wow.... I am so jealious. I will be on the creamy soups until Friday. A friend of mines brought over some cream of shrimp soup. I wanted to slap her it was so great! It been my food highlight so far. LOL! I thought I was happy about the egg drop, man the cream of shrimp was so good. LOL! I am ready for pureeds. I am not feeling this soup thing. I have also be reading other people's post about going out and about. I tried it, and I think I did too much. I am guessing that I should not be wearing jeans for a while huh?
  5. I am also on the liquids until next week, let me know if the find the juice. I can't wait to eat some food, but I have to flaxseed and apricots to break down my system and get to me to the bathroom.
  6. I had my surgery on the 6th, and I don't I started to feel well until about 4 days after the surgery. Day 6, I was all out trying to walk around and shop, but on by the evening of day 7, I discovered that I may have done too much. I was home with a heating pad (because I refuse to take any more meds). I realize that its very important to take it easy for as long as you can. I am missing out on a few things, not getting around as I normally would. I will take that risk for healing. So relax and take things as slow as you can. Trust me, you aren't missing a thing.
  7. Yeah, I thought some about cheese soups on yesterday. I am guessing that is also the way to go. I was told I can't have spicy soups, so I am just trying to find out about my choices.
  8. Well egg drop soup sounds really good, I think that I will get some of that for tonight. Thanks so much.
  9. I had my surgery on the 6th, and let me say I am so happy to be off the meds. I was having crazy dream of food (of all things. I have never had dreams of food LOL). I was on the liquids for 2 day, and now I am on creams. I am so tired of cream of mushroom and chicken I could just scream! I started off putting my protein powder in my soup, but that was not working. So this morning I decided to make a protein shake. I was really excited, and full. LOL! I had some cream of celery soup (I spit out the chunks), cup of yogurt, and I pudding. I have just partaken in my second protein shake, because I refuse to have any more cream soup tonight. I am doing good about taking my time with my meals and making the stretch out througout the day. I am also doing good about drinking my water (cause I am just crystal lighted out). I just want some variety in my soups. I am no longer having pain, but the gas has started. LOL! I haven't done to much walking, other around the house and up my parents stairs (they have refused to allow me to go home). Tomorrow will be my first day out and about. Yayyy!
  10. I just had my surgery on the 6th. I would love to share my experience as well as answer any questions.
  11. Hello Everyone! I am a newly banded and a member of this site. I had my surgery on Nov. 6, 2008, this is my 1st day off the dope (pain medication), and feeling pretty good. I was excited on Sunday to have a choice between broth and a cream based soup, but now I am tired of the creams. I don't know, maybe I am coming off my drug high. LOL! Today I decided to get on the computer for cream soup ideas, and ran across this site. I am excited about having online support. I also hope to be an active memeber of this site. I am happy about this being post day 5. I have no regrets, just would like to have a variety of eating choices. I am looking forward to the success that comes from this major sacrifice. Thanks in advance for your input.
