  1. Hi, I was banded by Dr. Rehnke 9/16/2008, and have lost about 115lbs or so. Still a work in progress though.. I know he works and does the seminars with Dr. Jessee. I would be more than happy to chat with you any time!! Hope all is well!!
  2. The Wheat Ritz are really good ones.. I like to limit my carbs, so I like to eat pork rinds, they make for a good cracker and no carbs as well. The barbecue flavor is my favorite! The special k crackers are good too.
  3. Hello.. I keep the fridge stocked with plenty of bottled water, Powerade Zero's, and I drink unsweet tea w/ splenda. Also coffee and I make my own sf iced coffee every day.. Gotta have one of those and a protien shot every day!! lol  Hope these ideas help!!
  4. Actually, now that I think of it.. It seems like when I went in, my period seemed to stop right after the surgery I don't know if it had something to do with the anesthesia, I'm sure? I thought that was strange for me. But don't worry about that. I remember the nurses telling me they have ladies come in like that all the time.. But I know, we just think of everything!! :tt1:
  5. Hi.. Yes, You can have your surgery while your on your period. I did.. I thought the same thing.. You just might want to mention it to the nurse when you go in that day for surgery, just tell them you need to keep your undies on.. And I made sure I made one last trip to the rest room before I went into surgery.
  6. Jachut, The splenda in the Hood milk does not make it sweet. All milk has some sort of natural sweetener. I have a gallon of 1% in the fridge now the rest of the family drinks and it has 13 grams of sugar in a glass as where the Hood milk I drink only has 3 grams to a glass and the differenc is it is sweetened w/ Splenda not natural sugars. I try to watch my sugars and carbs, because I have about 120 pounds or so more to lose. :tongue2: I guess variety is what makes the world go around, right?
  7. I also like to drink the Hood Calorie Count Down 2% milk or the fat free kind because it is soo much lower in sugar and carbs and is made w/ splenda, also it is high in protien. The chocolate is fabulous as well too! Give it a try! But I do buy 1% for the rest of my family to drink.
  8. Yea, i do eat taco stuff a lot, the family likes that too. If I am wanting that crunch, I eat the multigrain chips( a few) it's better for the rest of the fam too. I buy the low carb tortilla wraps from walmart and make me a wrap-which w/ cold cuts. Or I just eat the cold cuts rolled up w/ cheese dipped in mayo. Or I eat cottage cheese w/ a sprinkle of shredded cheese on top. I make chicken or tuna salad a lot. Boiled eggs. Wendys chili is a good choice if your out or the chicken nuggs. I eat a lot of cheeses. Omelets.. Protien shakes nearly every morning. I always use the Calorie Countdown locarb milk for me, also the chocolate milk flavor as a treat too. Hope all these ideas help you some!!
  9. Yea, i love salads too and usually eat a lot of salads too. But in the last two months, a ive noticed i cant really eat salad as much. Im really tight now i think. it always seems to get stuck on me.. im really tryn to concentrate on protien now, as i have been at a platuea for a few months as well too. i am 15 months post band and 112 lbs down, so I cant complai, but I still have a lot more to lose, so I gotta get the scale movin!!
  10. That's wonderful!! Good for you!! I know that is the best feeling, isin't it?? Keep up the good work!!
  11. Hello there!! I'm another September just checkin' in!! Which I see Slim all the time on our "what were eating post", so that is nice. I can't believe it is almost a year already!! Yikes! Where did the time go? I am happy with my progress. I would like to be down more, but I'll take it.. You know, I forgot to take my measurements... My hubby says I have lost the most from the waist down so far. I have lost up top too, but mostly below. I gotta start exercising again. I have kinda gotten lazy in that dept. But you all are right, we need to check in and support each other. Catch ya'll later!
  12. Wow! That sound great! Will have to try!!
  13. Hmm. I had my lapband done 9/16/08 in st Pete, and this is how he has always done my fills. It sounds like he didn't pull enough out to make sure you are comfortable swallowing. I guess all the doctors are different. Hope you get feeling better.
