Surgery cancelled on the table when the surgeon decided that my sliding hiatal hernia, which I was assured was'nt going to be a problem, turned out to be a problem. To make matters even more exciting, I wasn't told that the surgery was aborted until 24 hours later. So there I was, sucking on ice chips for a whole day, thinking the surgery was completed. Now I have 3 scars on my belly and no lap band.
