  1. *pouts* meeeeeeeeanie. :cry
  2. Carol...I looked for those Christie Crunchers on the way home today and couldn't find them. What sort of packaging are they in? (bag/box?)...it is so hard to find stuff like that amidst the myriad of choices; especially when I don't know the packaging/colour to try and spot. My downfall is the salt/crunch thing...perhaps I'll try the sour dills too.
  3. I have the "midband" (I think that is the Swedish one but not sure). It holds 10 ccs
  4. Those are both awesome stories; thank you Carol & Cloe!!!!
  5. Okay....so the lunch: I hadn't seen this friend in about 2 months. SHE actually looked great!!! I commented on that fact and she said, "thank you, I have lost 25 lbs". I told her that was fantastic (she prob weighs about 120 now) *sigh* I guess she didn't notice my 48 lbs loss. Maybe it is just more noticeable on already thin people??? I dunno. Kind of maddently frustrating. I hardly ate any of my lunch....moved the stuff around on the plate a lot. She did comment at the "end" of the meal by saying, "wow, that is great, you eat slow and made me slow down". I said, "yeah, I generally eat slow on purpose" (which of course is a NEW thing for me!). She didn't comment on how little I ate and I asked for the remainder to be boxed up. If she thought it was odd, she didn't say anything. So...there ya go. :phanvan
  6. *jumps up & down* meeee tooooo!!!! meee toooo!!!! I wanna get in on this. I need a lazer zap BIG TIME!!!!!!!!! :help:
  7. HOLY CRAPOLA MANDI!~!!!!! You are almost at 70 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clap2:
  8. Alrighty. Off for another fun-filled (?) day at work. There is a guy at work who is ANNOYING the crap out of me lately so it hasn't been a lot fun. I have a lunch date with a friend today (who doesn't know about the surgery and will NEVER know!!!); this will be the first time "eating" with her "alone" so it will likely be more difficult to hide the fact that I'm not eating much. Before, Mr Yoda was with us and we shared a pizza or something (this was before my last fill) and I could make it look like I ate my share. Of course she is in a no win situation with me. I'll be pissed if she doesn't notice the 48 lb weight loss and I'll be just as pissed if she starts asking questions about it!!! LOL. Gawd, I'm mental. Welcome to my world. Alright....'nuff babblin' and off to work. I am supposed to start work at 8:00 am and it is now 8:15 am and it takes me 20 mins to get there. Think I'll be late?!!! Mwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa errrr yes. Ciao. :bored
  9. *blush*. gee thanks Mandi. Oh....maybe you meant the dog?? :nervous
  10. LOL @ Mandi. "Weird Lady" THAT is sure to make her feel welcome!! LOL.
  11. Carol: I see you are 8 ccs. I am at 7; not so sure yet I need another one (fear of the pb). My question for you: have you had (or do you regularly have) any PBs or golfballs or pain etc???
  12. Hey Carol...I just read your post about that dessert (I don't know how I missed it earlier!). YOWZERS!!!! I'm not too much of a sweet person either but that does sound yummy.....it would look too nice to take a bit of though! Thank you for sharing your food intake with us. Christie Crunchers, eh? I have to look for those; never head of 'em. Are they in the cracker aisle? My downfall (& yes I'm quite well aware of the badness of it!) is chips. That is what I prefer to snack on (no, not all the time...but too often). You have motivated me (shamed me!! lol) to start reaching more often for the pudding or fruit or whatever instead of the chippies. October is another month!
  13. Oh Wheezy....what a cute lil' chien!!! (Is that gummy bear treat on the floor or did you merely forget to sweep!). LOL PCOS: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome As tu une bonne petite vacances!!
  14. LOL @ Wheezy & Lila; you both slay me!! For me...exercise has never been an issue....I always have done a ton of exercise (& still do). That was part of the problem and hence one of the reasons I was checked for PCOS. Despite a fairly active lifestyle and doing regular cardio/weight trg....not only did I NOT lose weight; I just kept gaining and gaining (oh, and I ate pretty healthy too). So the PCOS explained a lot. Maybe that is why I seem to be a bit of a turtle when it comes to losing the weight also. But....at least it's working to some extent. For y'all who don't like to exercise; the trick is finding something that you LIKE to do...then it won't be a chore. Try different things and you're bound to come up with something! Good luck!
  15. Yeah Carol...you are doing INCREDIBLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm envious but I'm also very happy for you!!! oh..and for the record I don't actually live at Casino Rama!! heheehe....but apparently Cloe lives pretty much on top of it!
  16. It would take a helluva lot more than that to make ME blush!!!
  17. Yeah, that is what I say too Wheezy....!! Next month will be better for me. (it better be!)
  18. Yeah, I jokingly tried to have Kathy tell Mr Yoda that I couldn't have sex for six months!! It didn't work! LOL. Real answer: anytime you want as long as you feel "up to it". In other words, the next day is okay if you want.
  19. Don't worry Lila...it WILL get better. Do the popsicle thing (oh and I also interspersed them with fat free/sugar free fudgsicles) AND drink juice (ie. apple juice) throughout the day. Drink/suck on popsicles constantly. Okay...here is what I do to telemarketers and I find it VERY effective. When they call, I say "oh, great, just one moment please, I will be right back". I then put the phone down and DO NOT come back. I go about my business, watch TV, continue talking with my hubby etc.....eventually of course, they hang up!!!! hehe. Better they hang up after waiting a long period of time for you to come back than for you to hang up on them. They'll get pissed and likely won't call back if this happens too many times. When I'm feeling "nasty"....I just keep saying "hello? hello? hello? anyone there? hello?". It's hilarious. Of course they eventually hang up.
  20. "Hello, my name is Lila and I am addicted to scales". MIGAWD...you are CRAZY girl!!!!! LOL
  21. Yeah, unfortunately a lot of people....even a lot of doctors don't even KNOW about the lapband. For instance, my obygn who I see for PCOS...didn't know about it and was stunned that they did this. He was interested though and I gave him all the info for his brother; as he said it is something that maybe his brother should look into. It is sad really...because if the docs don't know about it, how can they adequately explain all the options to a patient of theirs who may perhaps like to undergo bariatric surgery....ya know?
  22. awwwwwwwwwwwwww hey Mandi...it sounds like Dandi is a keeper. Hang onto that one!
  23. Yeah Cloe...AND bonus...less dish surface to wash!
  24. That is kewl Maria. Hey Mandi...great minds think alike, eh? LOL :paranoid
  25. I completely agree with Wheezy. Mandi...have Dan tell him that it won't work out if the g/f comes to your place on the wknd (even every other wknd)....that the apart. isn't made for 4 people ....so he should go to Fredericton to see her at her place. Also that way...it gives the 3 of you a break from living together throughout the week if you know you at least have your wknds as private Mandi/Dandi time. But this has to be discussed NOW before he moves in....ya know...so everyone is on the same page. Good luck with it all.
