  1. Ok, I have started this wonderful journey went to the pcp a month ago then 6 weeks later went to the Orientation, which i do have to say is inspiring. Not towards the band lol. Well they gave us a binder, with what we can and cant eat and so on. I am starting to think i wonder if i can trick myself. Like not cancel any of my appts which next isnt even for 2 months, but to keep on track for my banding, but do the diet to a T and everything.. The dr said the band was just that, and its not a miracle and so on, and that the job was ours to change how we feel about food. Do any of you feel you could have done the same diet you are now without having surgery?? I joined the gym and paid for a trainer.. i am going to do the 1200 calorie diet and weigh the food like my binder says.. and only eat a cup of food etc, and do a Water diet one day a week.. do you think its possible? Or am i in a pipe dream of fairytale land??:smile2::thumbup:
  2. I did go to the ER once or twice, so its not that they want our weight records? I was thinking of just faxing my childhood dr the forms and the hospital.. My worry is its been close to 7 yrs so i wonder if m y records are gone. Its funny, youd think they would be ok with pictures. I even have a picture in the newspaper.. so its dated.. so if they dont believe ive been fat for an eternity ill mail them that..:tongue_smilie:
  3. My dr office (kaiser) sent me a letter asking for old dr records. 3 yrs back. Well, i didn't have a dr. What do i do? Should i send my kid doc ones? They do show me being overweight. Not sure what to do...
  4. I was told 40bmi, unless a lot of health problems. Then its 35 BMI. I started with my PCP though, so not sure what you have to do now:D
  5. Richmond Kaiser that atleast is where my appt is for Nov 4th.
  6. Ok First off I am Kaiser.. that makes a difference i hear.. I saw my PCP last week and she did my weight and height stuff and ordered my thryoid blood test. And also did my referral to the surgeon office. Today Bariatrics (spell?) contacted me and set my schedule for the Seminar, which is Nov 4. I guess its a 5 hour meeting.. My question, what happens now??
