  1. If you are unsure whether it is ketosis or lack of fluids, you can go to the pharmacy and buy strips that you hold in your urine that test for ketosis. Either way, the smell should go away soon but if it doesn't, I would go see my gyno. Kim
  2. Hi, I'm Kim. I haven't been banded yet and I also need someone. I was thinking that since you need help getting back on track, maybe I can help, because you would be going through this with me. I figure that maybe it will help you to remember where and how you went wrong. Anyway, my e-mail is kmcoolone@yahoo.com if you want to buddy up with me. Thanks, Kim:thumbup:
  3. Hi, My name is Kim. I'm glad to hear that you have your surgery date already as I don't have mine yet. Anyway, congrats!!! I am also 25 and married but I don't yet have children. For me, I guess it's now or never to do something about my weight. I have been heavy most of my life. I just hope this will be over soon. (All the worrying with the insurance and all) I just want my new beginning and I know it will be alot of work but I am willing to do it. Thanks for sharing with us and welcome, Kim:thumbup:
  4. I have had a similar thing happen to me in the past when I dropped like 40 pounds. I felt like a sex fiend and couldn't get enough. I think thinner people produce more testosterone and less estrogen. Not to worry nothing weird is going to happen to your body but I did read an article about that and they say that women who are heavier have more estrogen and less testosterone due to the fat cells or something like that. Anyway, don't worry, you aren't a sex addict you just have a little more testosterone now that you've lost a few pounds. BTW my husband said that during that time period, he felt like he had to beat me off with a stick LOL.
  5. Hi, I just read the post and don't think that threesomes or any group sex are ok for married people. I am bisexual and have been with both sexes but never at the same time. I am currently married and would never have a threesome involving anyone at this point in time but especially my spouse even though that is what he wants. The reason I haven't and won't do it is because I care about my partner enough not to. I know for a fact that seeing your partner enjoying someone else sexually, whether it was planned or not, really hurts them and can evoke jealousy and alot of pain whether they think they are ready or not. If, on the other hand, you were single, then the choice is yours but since you are married you have to think about how your wife would feel, both the good and the bad. If you really want to go through with it just ask yourself this question: Am I willing to lose my wife for one night of sexual pleasure? This is the worst case scenario but it does happen. Good luck to you no matter what happens.
  6. I am also a rapid cycler although years of medication have slowed my cycles and also made them less intense. Anyhow a little about me: I am 25 years old, I am married to a wonderful, beautiful man, who is the love of my life. I have no children but want some after I go to and get through with nursing school. Instead of kids we have 2 cats that go crazy if you don't love on them all the time. Anyway I'd like to know more about you too. Kim
  7. Hi all, My name is Kim and I am bipolar but I am also on my way to bandland. For me, like most people this is a new beginning but unlike most anyone else, from what I can tell, I am bipolar. If you are bipolar I would love to share support with you buddy or just friends. Kim:thumbup:
  8. yes he's with the bariatric group at memorial.
  9. First of all it's not a protein problem. Most people who experience hair loss after surgery have a vitamin deficiency. When you reduce the amount of food you are eating, you reduce the amount of nutrients you are getting. If it was a protein deficiency your hair would feel mushy and break off rather than coming out at the root. You probably should have some labs done to find out what you are deficient in and in the mean time, take a multivitamin daily.
  10. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has used Dr. Rose in Chattanooga TN. I want to know the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thanks, Kim
