Hi, all, I was banded 09/29/2008. My surgeon still has me on thick liquids until 6 weeks. i am so bored with this food and hungry. But I have lost 26 pounds so I am happy about that. I am 59 and glad to hear from others nearer my age. Any food recommendations are welcome. Also, where do you get the cute graphic and the weight loss scale at the bottom of your posts?
I think you are doing wonderfully. I was banded on 09/29. I have no energy and both my kids are gone. I do also have a stressful job and bad knees. So walking is hard for me, but I think I will just take a walk around the parking lot. Maybe help me with my "drama queens". I recently had a fill and had a little irritation around the port but I don't generally notice it. What I do notice is not being able to eat when I am stressed. I miss that the most of anything! Good luck to you.
I just wonder what you all are eating. I had my banding on September 29, and I am still only eating liquids, (shakes and cream soup). I am still losing almost 1 lb per day. I wonder if this is normal. I am very weak, but taking vitamins, iron and b12.
Yes, Actually, I am taking Bariatric Advantage Vita Band Lemon Flavored Cream, 2 X per day. They are just for lap banders. Also I am on extra iron and b12. But I am old. So I think the older you are the harder this is. Dot
Ambra, I had my first post op visit today, and my surgeon said to go back half days Monday because I am so tired. You have a very difficult job, I don't know how you can do that 12 hour shifts. Dorothy
Rosey, yes, my knee is from a fall and arthritis. It is a family genetic problem, but my 300+ pounds has made it so much weight. I hope you are doing well, Dorothy
 Hi, I was banded on 9/29. I had some problems with my liver (too fat) and I am having a very slow recovery. I have a bad knee and can't walk and can't be dismissed for water exercises until I see the doctor. I hope you do well. There seems some really scary stories here.
