  1. Thank you to everyone that responded. It has helped my nerves tremendously.
  2. Thank you! I have mine August 18th
  3. Hi, I have surgery in just over 3 weeks and have a few questions if anyone has any answers. 1.) When will I be able to be up and moving again, or at least walk around? 2.) Do ice packs help at all? 3.) How do you handle the hangry or irritability from cutting out things or food cravings? 4.) How long was it before you were able to go back to the gym? 5.) Any advice or things to keep in mind for the surgery or after? I know that was a lot, but I just want to ask these questions beforehand so that I can be as prepared as possible and settle my nerves a bit. Thank you!
  4. Congratulations on your approval! I just got the call a few days ago as well and it's exciting. Goodluck with your surgery and recovery!
  5. I have surgery in less than a month and though I have worked hard for this, I am beginning to feel very nervous about the surgery and the life I will lead afterwards. Does anyone have any advice on how to get over those feelings or learn to handle them a bit better? Some days I am fine but this past week I am getting more and more in my head about the entire process. Also, any tips that helped you after surgery?
  6. I ultimately have decided to not get the tattoo, I have worked too hard to risk anything from preventing the surgery now.
  7. I know that it is pretty much common sense and that I should probably wait. I have an opportunity to get a tattoo, that's not that big, in 2 days which will put me at a month before surgery. I know the risks with it of it being that close. My dilemma is that it is for my grandfather and the artist with the price in my budget is moving soon so she won't be able to do it in a few months. I'm not trying to act on impulse, and I want to go about all of this the most responsible that I can. I have never had any issues when it comes to healing, I usually heal rather quickly, and the tattoo isn't going to be in a spot I have to worry about in terms of loose skin from weight loss. My doctor hasn't mentioned anything about it, and I have even brought up getting one. What do you think I should do?
