  1. Hey, don't let the whimpy little Virginny thing fool ya. I'm a transplant from Texas. We're used to big things. :frown:
  2. I need that SO BAD right now.... :frown:
  3. Yeah, I still can't even figure out how to add anybody yet... :frown:
  4. Hello, Leslie. Let the ass-whoopins begin! I'm kinda with y'all, though not yet for the same reason (notice I said "yet," lol). After getting my fill today, I'm kinda on the same thing, so I'm in.
  5. Me too. Though something tells me the humor will be somewhat lost on that crowd.
  6. Ah, I see how this game works! Okay, I wanna try one: Post 1 - I have this car, it's pretty old and worn out, but I really need to make this car last, so I got new tires which will really help my situation and allow me to get to my job so I can keep my home and pay the bills. However my overwhelming desire to drive over fields of glass shards and nails got the better of me and I did it three days after getting the new tires. Do you think they are okay? Post 2 - Yeah, I did that once and I was fine. You'll be fine, just don't do it that often. Post 3 - Wait, I'm no mechanic but I have owned cars for 20 years and that's just not a good thing. If you need the car to get to you job which helps keep you in your home and food on the table, you may want to reconsider doing that. Original Poster - Okay Poster 2, thank you for sharing your experience. You came out okay, so I'm sure I will too. My tires can handle it even though the owner's manual and my mechanic said not to. That way I can enjoy my new tires AND feed my overwhelming need to drive over shards of glass and nails. Hm, I dunno. Sounds kinda stupid when you put TIRES in the storyline... I mean, they're hundreds of dollars and you have to put the car up on those wicked lifts and stuff... :frown:
  7. No worries, mnn has this all down pat. She makes up her own rules as she goes along and then pulls the high-and-mighty act when others admit their struggles, saying "this is not a diet," as if there really is no requirement on our parts to make the band work FOR us. Seems somebody can't keep away from the Taco Bell for even four days. Whatev... I just hope the newbies and those considering the band don't find this thread.
  8. Sorry to hear that. I guess I just have a hard time thinking about something like this that can literally save our lives being something that we "had" to do. I mean, we all "have" to do it to a degree, but not being thrilled about it -- well, I would worry that you are already setting yourself up to fail. You have to want to have it in order for it to succeed, I believe. I may be proven wrong by others, but if you are doing it cuz it it is the lesser of two evils... it's just not a great way to do this.
  9. PJTP: Okay, we have an issue. Either Plain and Ceredad kidnapped Donna, OR one of them really IS Donna. Kinda like how you NEVER see Michael and LaToya Jackson together. Duh-duh-DUHHHH...
  10. What's "post-banding depression"?? And going against doctor's orders is NOT recommended since stitches holding your band in place can be severely compromised with solids like that so early on. Wow, when you said this was not a "diet," you weren't kidding. Maybe you should have considered something that required absolutely no self-control on your part.
  11. Hehehe, I'm feeling utterly fiendish. It all started with the mooseknuckle. I'm going to hell for sure. :tongue2:
  12. That's all you lost? Well, chin up. Some are slower losers than others. You may just be one of those.
  13. LOL! One thing this whatever-it-is has taught me is one CAN have projectile nose drainage. It's HORRIBLE. :tongue2:
  14. :tongue2: Interesting, since she doesn't seem to follow either very well except for her own brand of new ageism and worship of idiocy. Too many people already at that altar, thankyouverymuch... :huh2: She's just... too much, I guess. Too much hair, too much me-me-me-me, too much Stuart from MAD TV and "Look at what I can do." People are beginning to put down the Kool-Aid and are figuring her out. It's time to board the mother ship, Oprah. Put down the Ho Hos.
  15. The point EXACTLY. Obviously she doesn't learn ANYthing -- she did the same with another book called A Million Tiny Pieces, I believe. Total fake, and people got pissed at her. Then she ran off her mouth about the beef industry without facts and got them all up in arms and sued her. I believe she used her show to spout off her opinion which, in this business, you have to be careful because she can be viewed as endorsing or dissing something. Same with WLS. She has proven that she is yet another diet failure, yet she runs down OTHERS who choose this tool for themselves. She's an overpaid muppet with a box of Ho Hos under one arm and a list of fake books under the other.
  16. I've come to the conclusion (not recently, but wow...) that the more I hear about or from Oprah, she's a flaming idiot. Herman Rosenblat's Holocaust memoir of love is exposed as a hoax - Times Online That's all.
  17. PJTP: I get my first fill today. :tongue2:
  18. Wow, g4e, that's a big'un. Lots of prayers and good thoughts coming your way.
  19. Like they put the poo smell in it before you ingest it?
  20. I totally get you. I haven't gone to sleep YET. Went up and tried, and DH is snoring his ever-lovin' ass off so that even WITH my gun range ear plugs, he was getting through. And because I don't have another bed I can sleep in, I came downstairs and tried sleeping on the couch. That's workin' real well...
  21. PJTP: I GOT Facebook! I feel like I finally became one of the cool kids, even if my site is really lame right now.
  22. Wow... so what is it like from up on high in your ivory tower looking down on mere mortal folk?
