  1. Challenging but I got through it all. Felt good to do something productive for a change. And I really enjoy him. I know he's as femme as they come, but he's so cute and energetic and seems to really care. Then I realized some other work-out DVDs that I loved and which never made it to VA either. And now I'm trying to get what it was I used to have. True... guess I was thinking more about the ellipticals and treadmills that people got for Christmas that are up for sale by March.
  2. Help him pack.
  3. Whoa, which thread??
  4. They'll be gone by March.
  5. You painted -- I did Richard. I had to do it to keep from crying. Hard to do aerobics while doing the wubba-wubbas.
  6. Sobbing, I'm sure.
  7. Thanks for all the hugs, y'all. I've been crying since yesterday -- every time she would smile at me I'd start sobbing. She has a smile that can break your heart. I'll read up on here for a while to try to get my mind off things. And I promised Richard (Simmons) a date today. First real exercise since being banded, other than walking.
  8. I was offline when you were experiencing your troubles and went into the hospital. I'm hoping you are doing a lot better and continue to do so. Hospital stays SUCK!!!
  9. Mom? Mom?? Is that you?
  10. I am so heartbroken. DD and grandbaby go home tomorrow morning, and I keep crying. Every time this gorgeous baby smiles at me (which is often), I just start bawling. How am I ever going to get myself together after these days with her? :tt2:
  11. What do you think made up the bulk of our liquid diet?? :tongue2:
  12. That's news to me!
  13. OOOh, that's it! thanks, Brad! Though I have to admit, that's not where I found it. I promise. I don't think my genteel sensibilities could handle going into the men's room.
  14. LJM, step away from the urban dictionary.
  15. Yes we did, thank goodness! It would have just been impossible with so many people in this house. He took it way better than I imagined. He said, "Hey, family is family." That made it easy.
  16. Question: Monday (I think) there was some discussion on a thread somewhere (I've been searching and can't find where it is) about a book that was written by a guy (Dewey, I think) about lap band surgery that was touted as being pretty good. Anybody on here the author of that post who can tell me the name of the book and verify the author? I remember that the day I was being filled I had actually found ONE Barnes and Noble store that had the book, and it happened to be right by my fill doctor. However, in all the excitement, I completely forgot about it. Thanks!
  17. Happy New Year, everybody! DD and grandbaby are still in bed. They had a loooong day yesterday. Got on a plane at 1:00 my time and didn't get in until 7:30! Baby did wonderful and slept through most of it. She is absolutely THE most happy, placid baby I have ever met -- and her mommy was pretty dang placid herself. I don't plan on letting her go back to Houston.
  18. PJTP: Heading to the airport to pick up DD and meet my grandbaby!!! Bye!
  19. I'm not at scale addict stage YET, but what I have found myself doing is weighing more than once at one time. I have a digital scale, and I can step on, get a number, step off, step back on again, and it's a different number. Usually a tad higher. So now I go for best 2 out of 3 -- or 3 out of 5 -- or... or...
  20. How can we help you make it more fun? Hell, I THRIVE on bed rest. Or at least couch rest. How do you think I got so big?
  21. Lucky! I can't even SEE my feet.
  22. Heck, I even changed mine! The one I had only reflected whole pounds, and dammit, I want those halves and partial pounds to count too.
  23. Oh WOW, g4e, that is FANTASTIC!!!! You updated your ticker with the new loss, right?? :wink2: I can hardly wait for my bandiversary so I can see how far I have come. I'm very excited now that I'm no the "weight loss" portion of my banding.
