  2. Hi guys, I'm a registered nurse. Living in Saudi Arabia and I had my band in Malaysia. Had my first fill on the 20th November. I had it done by one of my collegue at work just because i'm scared of needle :cursing: But I still think that if you're not medical professional, dont do it yourself. Its too risky. Good Luck
  3. I had my surgery on october 10th:) just had my first fill today by one of my collegue:) I'm a nurse. My doctor told me that i can do it myself if i feel the port:) I'm scared of needle;) so my friend did it.. It was ok.. No pain. With empty band i had no restriction at all. Hopefully with this fill.. I will:)
  4. Hi guys.. I'm in riyadh. Just got banded 10th october. Had mine in malaysia. Not sure where to go for filling:) been here for almost 5 years and i dont trust any doctor here to do it;) thinking of doing it myself:) but the port still invisible;) hmmm.. I'm in trouble:(
  5. I'm 3 weeks post op. I was in pain too. On top of that my port incision got infected. I've been not of pain since my 14th day post op. I didn't take any pain medication either. So.. I'm not sure if its normal. I hope you'll fine:)
  6. Hi.. I'm 3 weeks post op. My port incision also got infected. I applied fucidin ointment which is antibiotic ointment. I applied for few day and it was healed. On my 2 weeks post op.. I was out of pain. You can get the ointment from pharmacy. Wish you well:)
  7. Hi guys.. I got banded 10/10:) i can eat almost anything but smaller portion:) i tried beef burger with toast the other day and it was horrible. It got stuck:( not sure if the burger or toast:) otherwise.. Anything passed through:) i've lost 5 kg so far.. Haven't done any exercise yet:) the weather getting really nice over here.. I'll try with walking:)
  8. Hi.. I had mine on 10th september:) i was in pain and alot of gas. On top of that my port incision got infected. All gone on my 14th day post op. I didn't take any pain medication either. For gas i applied some menthol medicated oil. I'm sure you'll be fine:)
  9. Actually my journey not just quite simple but too simple:) i've been reading on how complicated journey you guys been through just to get there. Its kinda scare me. I never been to any support group. No pre op preparation either. I had chocolate milk on my 2nd day post op. Solid food on my 3rd;) so far no complication.. Thank god for that.. I've lost 5kg so far.. But according to what i read in here.. I dont think I'm right eating food. I'm eating pretzel now;)
  10. Hi guys.. I'm new here. I got banded on the 10th of october:) my journey quite simple. I heard about it and i read cant it. I'm a nurse and working in saudi arabia:) the hospital I'm working at.. Doing this surgery. But i dont trust enough to let them do it;) i went home (which is malaysia) for holiday. Went to see this doctor which i have been contacting through email on the 8th. Admitted to the hospital on the 9th and had my surgery on the 10th:) i was home by 11th. What do you think? Crazy?
  11. Hi steve:) today is my 5th day post banded:) first 3 days was horrible. I was so mad at myself.. I had toast and jam:) luckily nothing happened:) i feel bloated everytime i eat or drink something. And i know that i'm dehydrated. 1st day post op i had chocolate milk:) i dont think this band gonna do me any good if i keep doing this. Please help me.
